Old Horse Stables

This is another building that is no longer being used. I like this stone wall. I wonder if it was built during the revolutionary war. I'm in a barns and stables phase with a nod to Sunny's wonderful Barnyards and Barnacles blog.

What a marvelous old structure I really like it :)

I like this photo. I like that the structure is slightly elevated from the stone wall. I love the curves in the wall and the white wooden fence, which appears to be open...what a great find and you captured it so well! Really nice...

I like this 'phase' and its images full of interesting details (the strange column on the corner).

I like your phase too... gets my imagination going as to the history of that place and the people that lived there.

This is so 'home' to me.... I'd buy it if I could. Would like to climb through my screen to this place.

A "barns & stables phase" is a mighty fine condition to find oneself in, James. You do the concept justice.

The wall is a little more perfect than I usually like them to be. Rough-hewn suits me just perfectly.

Reminds me: I don't have any reflections in the larder as yet.

What a shame that such a lovely old building is not being used, it doesn't look to be in that bad of condition. The wall is really wonderful.
Thanks for the mention.
Sunny :)

I would love to spend a vacation over there if I could...
But we can see someone is taking care of it, stone by stone.

I love this photo! The wall is a work of art, love the curve of it. The barn is a strong, sturdy looking one. I would love the opportunity to have this property!

Interesting the way the architecture is following the curves of the ground..

You caught the stone wall very well. I like the way it swings into the picture and gives it depth.

This is a wonderful old weathered barn. I too like the stone wall. It must have taken a lot of hard work and patience.

Hope your back pain stays at home while your away, James.

I love this old stable, the weathered wood is just beautiful. But that wall is a masterpiece. One of the things that I really miss about Pennsylvania is seeing these old stone walls, they are just lovely. Kathy

I love the 'Old Barn Phase'. It is a lovely reminder of a harder, but simpler time and way of life. Early to bed......

«Louis» hopes this barn is restored and doesn't fall into disrepair. It is a fine building.

It is given a quiet impression to me by a stone fence and the green of the circumference.
