The rain glossed the sidewalk as he ducked under his umbrella, neon glow painting his steps pink and gold. Inside the bakery, the warmth of custard buns and milk tea called out—a fleeting refuge in Philadelphia’s Chinatown, where every doorway felt like a portal to another city, another life, or another world.

Chinatown (Weekend Street/Reflections # 213)

 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

What were they saying to each other? 

Maybe, "Hey bro where did you get those giant cherries?" or "This isn't watermelon street"

They were speaking Chinese so I'll never know.

A point of clarity; the man was carrying two watermelons in a cherry box on Cherry Street.😆

Chinatown (Weekend Reflections # 347)

Philadelphia, PA

This is a reflection of the entry way into Chinatown. It was reflected in the window of a Vietnamese restaurant. The orange things in the bottom right corner are probably plastic chopsticks or straws inside of the restaurant but I'm not sure.

Chinatown Dragon

At first I could only see his smoke. Then a hand with a cigarette popped out. Then his head. After a short staring match he slowly disappeared behind the the bricks leaving only a lit cigarette, the stench of burning tobacco and an aire of mystery.
