By Sunday afternoon the blizzard had blown away and I put on my space suit (that's what all the winter gear reminds me of) and ventured outside to explore. While I was taking a picture I heard some people talking right behind me. They turned to the left by the time I got my shot. On a whim I took a couple of pictures of the people. This is where the coincidence kicks in. Yesterday I was trying to find out how much snow fell in Newtown and I ended up at Bucks Local News. This article was on the front page. Do the people in the news article look familiar? I must have been practically back to back with the photographer when he took it.

Your photo is so much better! A great fun shot and I love the white house.
Have you had your fill of snow yet? Ha-ha!
Merry Christmas, James, Vicki, Lucy, Simba and Bucky!
Sunny :)
I agree with Sunny, your pictures are much better than Jeff's picture!Much more natural, with captive colours and people here is happy enjoying the promenade at snow.
And I also loved that white house, I think it's a beautiful neighbourhood!
God bless you
Léia
The photographer is probably the man holding a camera on your picture..Ü
I was sure since a long time that you've got a journalist's eye!
And this white house is soooooo lovely under the snow!
Spooky...
Ha...cool. Maybe the man in the photo with the camera is the photographer that submitted the photo that was published. Great photos, James. Looks like you all *did* get quite a bit of snow. We have a winter storm advisory out starting tomorrow for snow and blizzard conditions...it goes through Friday.
Yours is best! How fun it must be to play in snow on your own local streets. This is a nice view of what life is like in your part of the world. Beautiful sky...no snow today!
I wonder if the boy with the sweat shirt hat on holding the camera submitted that picture to them? Yours my friend are much better than the one in the paper. I love that white house as well...it looks like what houses should look like during Christmas. Sorta like your Grandmothers house (from the song) LOL. Happy Holidays to you and your family my friend :)
Agreed, I like your shot better, the background the shot from behind. Nice job.
Great photos! I just got back from Chicago where it was so cold I thought my nose would fall off, but we only got some light snow. The trip back was awful though especially at O'Hare because of all the cancelled and delayed flights from the east because of the snow.
Welcome to the wintery white wonderland of a Nor'easter, my friend. That is exactly why we moved to the warmth of the south but sometimes I do miss the beauty of it.
The white house reminds me of my grandmothers, except hers had a big porch across the front of it.
Coincidences do happen (and much more often than we care to think about) - for instance: We have about the same amount of snow!
The smile of the family is heartwarming.
It may dissolve snow piled up.
Thank you for showing the wonderful scenery which is common throughout the world.
From the Far East.
Best regards.
No wonder you love that house, it's gorgeous!
The coincidence is fun!
Your pictures look so natural. Much better than the newspaper variety.
But the press didn't 'get' the lovely white house which adds so much to the shot. Everyone looks so happy. So have a Happy Christmas!
Your pictures are great and much better than the on on the news article. The positive fact may be that the snow is still some news...
Your photo was much better and I can almost feel the happiness of the children being pulled on sleds. The house is handsome, very welcoming with its rocking chairs.
A fine record of the snow - much better than the newspaper photos.
Great photos! I love snow :-)
Nicely done! TIme to give up your day job!
I love it!! That white house looks most inviting too.
I had such cabin fever it was pathetic. I wish I could've played outside.
Happy holidays.
Seeing the photo in the paper must have been quite a surprise. It's very cool to have both perspectives! I think I probably surprised someone, because I had a visit from a certain cat on my web site, and I responded. I just saw your note on Livorno Daily. It is such a small world sometimes. Enjoy the snow! P.S. Been there, done that with the account log-in :)
Oops! You're home. I guess I have been remiss in stopping by and I didn't have a reflection this week. I was waiting till you returend, but will get your package in the mail shortly. I think I will wait till the first of the week. Don't you suppose the post office is busy enough already?
James I like the white house too. Excellent captures overall.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Anna :)

It is a good posting. I like it. It's pretty much impressive.
Bathmate
quinky-dinks are a mystery, eh!
I love that house, it's beautiful!
Lovely blue and white contrast.
Well inspired! How funny! Seems as if you are having a white Christmas!
I love that picture! : ) Merry Christmas to you and your sweet wife James! Merry, Merry Christmas!
Hi James,
Thank you for the wonderful Christmas wishes, I hope you and your family have a fab Christmas too!
Oh hey, looks like you caught Mr Photographer in your photo!
Beautiful house and a fun winter scene. May you and your family (including your cats, of course) have a blessed, beautiful, joyful Christmas, James!
Now I'm going offline to start cooking. ;)
Back to back to the photographer? More like face to face me thinks. Wintery fun.
It's quite a freezing coincidence James but rather cute!
Oh give us some snow down under!
Wonderful shot of the neighborhood and the people after the snowstorm James! My Weekend Reflection is up, even on Christmas morning! :)
