To the Stars (Weekend Reflections # 20)

Last week was the Sun and Moon so this week I'll take you to the stars.
This photo is hard to explain, but I'll try. This is the rectangular center section of a restaurant in Munich. The glass is see through but very reflective and you are seeing the tiny lights (plus their reflections) that are hanging above the open air shopping mall below the restaurant. The bigger lights are the restaurant's lights and their reflections. To the left is a food counter and some tables, the tables and lights surround this glass center section. look down and you'll see the shopping mall, straight ahead is another building. The sky could be seen above but only as a reflection in this picture.

I was thinking the tiny specks looked liked a galaxy too. Whoever designed this really knew how to work with glass and artistic reflections! And, then you came along and caught the perfect image with your lens! I say "Bravo" too!

Yours is a much more beautiful representation of a photo I attempted this a.m. through my windshield (dirty...) while trying to shoot a traffic jam in front of me. Mine didn't turn out so well...instead of the traffic jam I got my dirty streaks.

Happy Birthday...!

Your reflection shots always give me pause......sometimes I REALLY have to look at them to SEE them! Those tiny lights look like raindrops on the window. Cool shot!

Don't you love being an Aquarian?
Your photo is really really beautiful.
& the post before it,... wow! that guy (I'm assuming it was a guy) is a real dare devil eh?
I'll always wonder if he made it back too. Seems impossible, yet there are some people that are able to do these things so easily. It must be a gift of sorts.

This image is mind-altering, James. I love its complexity. How difficult was it to avoid having your own reflection in the photograph?

Is this a galaxy far far away? a Meteor shower? or even diamonds in the sky? Great reflection photo.
