Looking Down to see What's Up (Weekend Reflections # 34)

This is the reflection of the blue sky and some sunlit branches in the shallow part of a pond. I focused on the reflection and left the water grass blurry. To be honest I was hoping to capture the reflection of a bird flying over but no luck this time.
One year ago today May 14th 2009 did my first post on this blog. I'd just arrived in Pennsylvania after a long journey from Texas. However I was already a 2 month blogging veteran since I started Something Sighted in March of 2009. Now a big Thank You to all of you! You've made this blog and Weekend Reflections way more successful than I ever imagined. I would also like to say that Pennsylvania is even better than I thought it would be. It's funny how things happen. A year and a half ago I didn't know anything about Pennsylvania, blogging or photography. :) Have a great Weekend!

"Weekend Reflections" rules are simple:
1)Post a photograph taken by you that contains a visual refection.
2)After I post my Weekend Reflections photo, add your name, country and link to MckLinky
3)Be sure that your link goes directly to your Weekend Reflections post.
4)Link Weekend Reflections to your post so other will know where to go if they want to join
5)Comment on other Weekend Reflections participant’s blogs.
Feel free to be creative.Remember this meme is for any type of reflection photographs. This meme runs Friday 11 am EST through 11pm Sunday, so feel free to link your post anytime within that time frame. Join the fun!

You have done a very magnificent job on your blog. I remember the first time I visited thru Bonnie Bonsai. Little did I know that we come from the same home State (hehehe, I am a transplant).

Congratulations!!

Happy Blogoversary ;-)
I always enjoy your beautiful reflections ... and this is no exception. I love your other photos too though I don't always find time to comment ... especially of late since life's taken me in new directions away from the computer. Here's to many more years of 'reflections' ...
Hugs and blessings,

Beautiful photo my friend and the reflection is wonderful. Love it. Congratulations on your one year with your blog. How wonderful. I have to tell you it must be a connection we have. 9 years ago today my Grandfather passed away. I did a post today on my Flash 55. I think that and your starting this blog on the same day must have been some kind of karma. A good one at that. :)

Your've captured a beautiful sky and tree reflection in this photo, even if we can't have always what we want (like the bird).

That's a beautiful reflection. I love reflection shots and have thought about participating in this theme but haven't yet since I do several weekend themes already between my two blogs. However, since my mono posts are often reflections, I may starting doing both themes in one throw. Thanks for visiting Carver Cards and for your comment. I always enjoy the photography on your blogs.

Hey James, I think it's fabulous how this has really taken off, like a whole flock of birds, even if no bird flew by for the photo, they are flocking here...

Wonderful... perhaps next week I'll have a reflection ready in time...

Oh, also, I noticed you mentioned Pennsylvania here a couple of times. If you have a moment do drop by my place to see the photos of a war monument the state of Pennsylvania had put up in France, commemorating WWI fallen. Being from Pennsylvania, I was quite surprised to find it...
