Excellent composition! We have *so* many deer just hanging around our house, I don't even think about taking their photo any more. That is a mistake on my part to be sure.
But they are beautiful candidates for photography, I do love to see them. The best are the little fawns, *so* cute to watch bouncing all around. Never get tired of watching them.
Even the sky is just lovely in your photo. Great capture. Hope you are feeling better!
Very lucky James and talented!Your picture is outstanding! I've never met a deer, face to face, it's a kind of dream for me.Imagine to take a picture like that, wowwwwwwwwwwww! :) God bless you Léia
You sure were. About a month ago I saw some deer right up the road in the San Bernardino National Forest and they scurried out of view while I was changing lenses!
Your deer is absolutely beautiful, prancing along with its little white tail in the air. What a gorgeous scene.
When I see an animal running free like this I am reminded that it is they who are the real natives to the place. We humans are the newcomers, particularly us palefaces. Nice photograph.
Oh that happens all the time I had that changing my lens for a telephoto lens so I could take a photo of a song thrush in my back garden & my dog shot out & he flow away, they never seam to be around when I am ready for them. But I do love this shot.

And, your composition skills are just natural! This is beautiful...I can feel the bounce of this little guy as he treks across that golden field.
What a beautiful scene!
Great photograph James.
She s born to be running free.. know no borders.
Costas
Nice one.
You must be a fast "shifter", because this came out very well.
Not sure if this was planned but I like how the deer remains camouflaged by not breaking the horizon in the shot... (run deer, run!)
Oh! weren't you lucky... do you have many deer around?
Perfect timing there James and a nice shot too.

Meraviglioso !
Buona giornata.
Its a beautiful scene!
Good job!
Wildlife is so stunning. Two years ago, I startled a red fox riding my bike just south of 15th street in Topeka, Kansas.
You could not have planned that shot any better. God sent that deer along to make your day... and a great shot!

Lucky you. I've seen many a doe in Pa. and in my mother's area of Washington, and even here, but never a stag...guess they stay well-hidden.
Lucky you! I am only hoping this deer did not try to catch up with you for the photo!
What a great capture! Love it, James.
Absolute joy of freedom. Beautiful.
doh, a deer a female deer.
Currently, there is much talk here about a million dollar industry. Heli hunting if deers. Not Nice according to traditional hunters.
Fabulous, fortunate capture!
Gorgeous and amazing James.
Love the colors!
What a cute prancing Bambi! Beautiful bluey and perfect white clouds too!
Have a nice day!

Great capture! The sky is beautiful, and I love the deer in motion!~
Lovely! He looks like a lone soul merrily enjoying the grandness of the field!
What a beautiful day!
The figure of the run.

All of them harmonize beautifully...
