This is really beautiful. I wouldn't want to step on it. I visited that cathedral SO many years ago. It's something special!

Nice! nothing like highly polished marble or granite to create a mirror.

I love stained glass reflections. In this case, I thought it was a reflection in water! Great!

What a unique reflection! I too thought it was reflected in water, but now I see it is a highly polished floor!

This is super—and a bit surprising! I'll have to go over there on a sunny day and check it out.

This is a gorgeous reflection - the floor so shinny and good light must have been flowing through the stained glass. Perfect!

I absolutely love stained glass in churches and we don't see much of it here. This shot is unique because it really is a reflection of a reflection! Great idea indeed and beautifully presented.

I never went inside that cathedral when I visited NYC, just saw it from the outside, and it was beautiful.

The reflection is gorgeous. Makes me wish I had gone inside!

A stunning, unusual setting for a reflection! Really lovely colourings of the elegant windows on the floor!

Pretty cool reflection James!

Almost a puzzle picture. Once I got the paving stones in my mind I was able to truly enjoy the magnificent reflection.

It is a wonderful reflection, such a plus for the
church, too. I have noticed in NYC these days that
floors are becoming highly polished once more, thus
providing yet another interesting photo opportunity for those of us starved of reflective pools and rivers in
the countryside!

Great capture, James! They must keep the floors polished.

Good heavens -- my floors don't shine like that!

Beautiful.

Beautifully done James! The top of each of the three columns of glass remind me of crowns which makes me think of the three kings.
I love the soft golden background color in this too.

Ethereal and a fine shot James. I'm late to the party this week. I finally found some time to take new shots and to get them developed. Hope I can find the time to visit too.

It's stunning!

I would like to take the opportunity of making special mention here that the only way I can return kind token of appreciation and posting comment is through a Pop Up Window Comment Box. My new template design does not allow the old Embedded Below Post Comment Box entry to get through to most of the bloggers' post. Thanks sincerely.
