Newtown, Pennsylvania~
I took this shot because I liked the angle and curve of the road. I also like the contrast between the road and snow.
I thought the jogger was crazy to be out in the cold but then I realized that he probably thought the same thing about me. :)

nice one James. I like the composition, and the black and white fits nicely. Running in the cold is INSANE! I'd rather be out with the camera in the cold than run, but either way in the end I freeze :)
Shades of grey for a beautiful picture... Nice job here again, dear James...
Creative and framed beautifully!
I like this picture for all the same reasons as you.
I hope the jogger notices that patch of ice up ahead!
Stay warm!

Aussi glacial chez toi que chez moi ! Belle échappée ...
Now that looks really cold! Beautiful though.
Interesting composition. I wonder what it would be like if you stepped to the left and had the path in the right 1/3 of the shot?
stunning photo James...I do miss living down there sometimes.
The small outline of the person against a harsh winter scene makes him look like a cold and lonesome jogger.
Very nice photo.
Great composition, James. I like it in b&w, too! Have a great weekend.
Cold and lonesome are certainly the adjectives to describe the scene.
I can almost feel the cold looking at the image.
You and the jogger were brave facing the elements.
Lovely monochrome shot!
Wonderful winter scene!!
" Happy Weekend Reflections! "
Regards.
Beautiful shot James. So much snow!
Bonjour James,
It's a beautiful landscape and you got perfect reflections there!
I like the winter feeling and it's more intensive with the choice for b&w!
Have a great weekend,
Léia
Wonderful composition and mood... love the crossroads of stream and path...
Have a wonderful weekend,
Genie
Hey James-"the causeway"....I bet I walked over that a zillion times. Very cool to see it again. Nice stark tree reflections along with that crazy jogger (and photographer).
I like photos like this, with great depths and lines leading into that depth.
Dark, moody and cold...
I love it!
I love this shot!
I love the B&W
and I agree, the curve of the road makes the scene even more lovely
beau b&w d'hiver, j'aime beaucoup
Brrrrrr, looks a lot like where I am. This is a great composition, and I really like that it's a monochrome, it so adds to the mood of the image.
The jogger gives the things back to their right sizes. The mood of the photo shows winter very well.I guess the only sound was the breath and steps of the running guy..
Your title describes the scene perfectly. Great mood and photo!
James, you are making me cold again. That picture is just . . . freezing!
A great frame with a road that leads to a great forest and lovely reflections in the river, all in a spectacular B / W. Great.
A reflection of a cold world
Terrific capture, James! Does make me cold, but then it seems everything does that these days! I do love your composition and the title is perfect! Have a great weekend! Stay warm!
Sylvia
Beautiful composition. The road and the water on the sides are forcing the eye right in the center.
Looks cold...but starkly beautiful!
Wonderful!
Have a nice weekend :)
Great shot!
Seems cold out there! Brrr!

Have a beautiful weekend. Keep warm***
Hi James :)
mi piace molto la tua foto di oggi...una strada che lascia intravedere una speranza ...
Buona serata.
Myriam
That is really gorgeous.
Such a terrific photo!
Happy weekend to you!
The b/w presentation has a great effect on this shot!
Looks cold there! But a very nice reflection.
This scene is all to familiar to me, but it does make for some awesome reflections. Stay warm.
B.
I'm shivering with cold just looking at your photo James. Nice job.
A promise in the making. To reach the roads end. A beginning.
Please have a good weekend.

Everything is frozen over or has snow piled on it, so I had to use a photo from a couple of weeks ago. Hope you like it.
Very interesting photo. It sure could have been taken around here were there is two feet of snow on the ground and gray days...but today hit the 30s so there is hope that spring will indeed arrive in a couple of months.
The composition of your image is extremely effective and interesting with the interplay of the large interlocking dark and light areas. I like it very much and can see why you were so taken by the scene. If you hadn't presented it in black and white, I don't think that drama would have been so intense.
Your commentary made me laugh. It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it?
"What are you doing out here? Are you nuts?"
"Yep, takes one to know one."
Love your photo, James, and can't resist "Cold and Lonesome Road" as the title. Wonderful.

Awesome photo James.

: )
A perfect winter scene...even the cold has a beauty of its own!
Great shot! It looks dramatic in black and white. I wonder how does it look like in full colour version.
The black and white really works on this scene! This is an image with much to see...very cool, James!
A mystical scene with enchanting beauty! Very lovely!
Funny...my husband jogs in the snow and i think he is crazy...I take photos in the snow and he thinks I am crazy.
winter photo par excellence!
Beautiful contrast!
What a tranquil and beautiful picture it is!! Snow, the road, the trees and the pond silently stand in harmony.
I wish I could be a part of them.
Nice vue, lines are perfect
Beautiful lines and composition. Great photo again, James!
Very beautiful!
Good for you for braving the cold! This shot was worth it!
Beautiful- but looks so cold and lonely!
Junie
Guess the winter is not done with you yet... Finally made it this weekend, I've missed a couple, work has been nuts ! What creek is this ? I'm surprised it's not frozen solid, with ice skaters on it...
I bet you're right, he was thinking the same! This is really nice. The contrast is great along with composition.
Beautiful and cold !
Your black & white is so crisp and clean and great lines!
Beautiful, beautiful shot:)
Did u use infra-red?
It is perfect for a poster size sketch...maybe I'll try it someday when I get the time:) Will let u know if I do.
U don't mind, I hope?
Oh, it's gorgeous! Love the b&w. I have been one of those photographers out in the snow, and boy those fingers get cold fast!
