Newtown, Pennsylvania (Tyler State Park)
I saw my reflection as I walked by this puddle of melted snow so I walked back and took this shot. That's when I noticed the cool tree branch reflections.
I haven't had much time to take photos or blog recently. I hope you all had a great week!

Lot of cool stuff happening in this one, James. I like the self portrait!
Superbe image du dégel et auto-portrait en noir.
I see James taking a photo. Love its natural color!
You are so lucky to have so snow... At least you have something interesting to capture... As htis lovely self portrait in this puddle...
Very nice James!
Who is that guy under the water? LOL...
Chilly out there! Very cool:))
Rumor has it well above freezing next week, there will be plenty of puddles for reflections :-)
I like the piece of ice smack dab in the middle of your reflection, almost looks like it could be your camera
and I always love bare tree limbs
I have the same kind of reflections as you have: icy and cold! I took these 2 weeks ago.
Cool! The black and white is very effective!
This would be great hanging on my wall! :-) What a beautiful image.
Gotta hold my hands up to you James, its a super reflection shot.
You seem to be about to dive into your own picture!Beware of cold! :o)
Fabulous, James... it almost looks like you are drowning in the water and ice... glad that is not so! :-)
Bon weekend,
Genie
Wonderful James! It looks fun as well.
Bonjour James! Cool selfportrait of sorts, love it! Happy weekend!
Super réussi ! J'aime beaucoup cette photo, avec le gel dans les arbres, ou vice versa !
Looks like you are diving right in! The tree makes it look like a scene out of an Edgar Allen Poe story.
At first glance, I thought you were being held up! (Just kidding!) Very cool shot, love the branches.

I like it James. Lovely tones and textures to go with the reflections. B&W rules!
Hope it's a good sign that at least the snow is melting (and hope you won't get another load of the white stuff:) ). The branches are a ice contrast in form and color
Nice B&W, I like it very much
Still snow and winter but you do light up my evening when you visit my blog, thank you. I love being here again, MB
James, this is a cool self portrait and groovy reflection.
Wonderful effect! The silhouette of branches and a self-portrait look stunning! Like an icy mural!
Oh, I do love your self portrait and, yes, it is a groovy one!! Amazing where we can find ourselves, isn't it! Thanks as always for the weekend fun! Hope your weekend is fun, too!
Sylvia
Fabulous photo!
have a great weekend:)
For decades now already, I wonder where all the white goes, once the snow did melt away.
May the weekend be filled with only warmth for you all.

That worked out superbly! Great contrasts! Love it!
Very original, great abstract from nature, a great work, I love the frame. Saludos.
I love puddle shots. This one is really interesting with the ice and snow in it, and I love it in b&w.
A thoughtful shot.
the floating ice adds dimension to this reflection - nice shot!
perfect monochrome...
You look very handsome! Have a great weekend!
This is so good! Looks cold too.
have a great week-end.

I like this shot a lot James! One of those unexpected moments that make a great photo. Glad to see that the snow is melting! Kat
This photo reminds me of a fractal. So much to look at!
I love this! Anything that indicates melting of all this snow is just beautiful to me right now.
you really did position yourself perfectly in this shot James. Nice catch!
As always, a beautiful photo. I like the way the branches are in two zones.
My friend James,
You are very talented.I'm enchanted by this picture, you add some mysterious when you choose b&w, it's beautiful and I'm curious about the colour version, if the sky is blue and the branches.
It's also a cool portrait!
Hugs and a nice weekend,
Léia
*** sorry for this late comment, I got a terrible cold and last night I fell asleep !
It's exhilarating when the eye catches a moment of beauty. Good for you for acting on it.
I enjoyed your reflection shot.
Thanks for organising this Weekend Reflections thing for us.
All the best, Boonie
Great picture. We had thaw going on here but then a new snow storm hit us and we're back to white and frozen!
Your photo is very beautiful but it seems to be very cold in your area :-)
Very special picture, I hope it stays melted !
Nice! A reflection with a bonus self-portrait. Keep warm!!
Awesome photo!
James, again you surprised me with your innovative idea! Nice to meet you. Half melting snow is making an interesting pattern. Perfect reflection!!
It´s absolutely fabulous!
Have a great weekend
This is an absolutely fun self-portrait, James! It all came together to be a real keeper!
Very cool, James. This photo turned out exceptionally well!
It's a wonderful photo, and I also enjoyed your comment. Sometimes what we're looking for blots out something so obvious. One my favorite reflections (that I took) is of a tree reflected so realistically in my car window, and yet, I didn't see it at first. I was only looking to open the car door!
That is an incredible photo. It really spoke to me when I scrolled the page down. ~karen
Nice to meet you, James. I'm amazed that this photo makes it possible to see solid half-melted snow in a flat, two dimensional screen. You've made me realize that melting snow creates interesting patterns and reflections, too.
You host such a nice site where each participant tries to capture the best reflections. Thanks for this opportunity.
You look like you have one big focused eyeball. Like a cyclops. This is a very creative and unique image with so many shapes, textures and properties to enjoy but also so well orchestrated. Love the rich tonal range too. Beautiful and mysterious. I really like it.
Good idea this selfportrait. You seem like in a cloud !
Pretty neat look.
Shaved ice on a black and white photo. Save it, quick!
If the snow is melting now, there is perhaps some cause for celebration ??? Spring could be around the corner...
What a super winter photo. And perfect in black and white.
The terror that you might drop it!
Lucy
You have beautiful pictures here, congratulations. I'll be following your work
I like this photo very much. And, I saw lots of little hearts scattered through out it! I have been behind in blogging and am slowly trying to catch up with all of them.
amazing shot. I love the small hearts.
Grande foto.
Mi piace molto questo effetto...
Buona serata :)
