Florence, Italy (an upside down reflection)
This is a reflection of a bridge in Florence, Italy. Everything in the photo is a reflection except some floating weeds and debris. That's my wife Vicki up there waving. I asked her to wave for the camera and she yelled back "I'm waving but you're aiming the camera at the water".
You would think that she would know by now that I see the world in reflections. :-)
Stay cool and enjoy your weekend!

Jolie photo, bravo il fallait avoir l oeil ;o)
Great~ Thanks for turning the photo around so I don't have to stand on my head to see Vicki! ;))
Oh, yes! I thought the same thing as EG!! What fun shot, James, and a great reflection as always!! Have a wonderful weekend!
That's great, a perfect mirrored reflection, it makes you want to wave back.
i am laughing at your wife not 'getting you' yet! :)
great shot! so glad you explained it!
You would think she'd know...or maybe by her comment it means she does.
Love these upside down shots, just never know which way to share them.
Happy weekend James.
what a great shot! sooo coooool! :)
Vicky meant : "for once, look at me, not at your reflections! " ;o)
What a fun shot! I am still smiling at your wife not "getting you" yet... she probably does, you know! Maybe she just likes to tease you.
You and your wife must be fun to be around! Thanks, as always, for hosting this meme. Happy weekend.
Yes, you would think so—and what a cool photo! When I'm crossing the Ponte alle Grazie, I'm usually on a return trip from having hiked up to San Miniato and Piazzale Michelangelo (and I'm headed straight for Vivoli to reward myself with gelato). Is that your story too, James? :~}
I love this shot, James...I'm very fond of turning reflections upside down!
The waving wife makes it an especially wonderful picture.
great shot!
A fun post James and I enjoyed the comments it has generated! Thanks for hosting and sharing. Happy weekend to you and yours from "down under".
Nice capture, James!
Thanks for hosting.
Great shot!
Great shot and story to matcch!
Un très bon souvenir et clair en plus!
But James, her point is that she is more important than her reflection in the water! (sorry, I couldn't resist:) that one!)
Amusant et sympathique, ce petit geste! J'aime beaucoup cette photo, belle et intelligente!
That looks just like one bridge here!!
The picture is enhanced by the waving wife :)
Beautiful composition! Greetings and a great weekend to all!
This is really unique! Never thought of doing reflections this way.
Wow ! This is quite a shot ! an unique "mise en scène" !
D'une voûte à l'autre !!

Hi James, too long since I dropped in here, but can never stay away too too long, and am certainly with you in spirit. Funny, I had already prepared my reflections shots just now from Florence before I came over to copy the link to your post, and lo and behold, you also were reflecting from Florence this weekend... synchronicity I guess. It really is thanks to you that I'm far more conscious of reflections than previously, although I do have quite a number of reflection shots in the archives of photos from pre-blogging days (the PB period of life). So you got to Florence and Siena, and Venice, I'm wondering where else you visited. Italy is just fabulous, I'm already sort of itching to go back, with another stop in Genoa on the way down there. Take care...
That is a lot of garbage, I would have dived in and cleaned it all up. Really folks, lol. Richard
was für eine wundervolle und amüsante Geschichte und eine herrliche Reflektion.
liebe Grüße
