An Evening at L'Opéra (Weekend Reflections # 285)

Paris, France

This is a reflection of the Opéra Garnier. And as you can see on the backward/reflected street signs, it's also a reflection of the intersection of Ave. de Opéra and Blvd. des Capucines. Try not to notice that part of my hand is reflected in the bottom left corner. :-)

Happy Reflecting!

This is the place to see and share reflections. Click the rules tab above for more information.  A Reflection =  An image given back by a reflecting surface.  A PHOTOGRAPH of a REFLECTION(s).

A little vignetting will obscure your hand :-) That's a cool reflection, the cars are very sharp.

Such a dreamy shot! The light, the building itself...and the reflection gives it that 'je ne sais quoi' which transports me! Thanks for the Paris love, it's always lifts my spirits!

The backward text is nice. I probably would have thought the hand was a person or vehicle moving out of the shot if you hadn't confessed.

fabulous reflection..it even has a bit of a tilt-shift(miniaturization) feel about it. Love the blurred background and how the Opera House really stands out.

Your hand fits right in there, James :) Wow, it's a long time ago that I saw such a classical renaissance building - it's beautiful at night!

Tout est à l'envers, c'est génial !

(You shouldn't have drawn attention to your hand. I probably wouldn't have noticed!)

What a delightful subject! You know that I love the gold-tones of a Paris evening, too.

The reflection is so clear! But for the backward-reflected letters and street signs, the photo looks like a regular photo. Well done.
