Well they deal with the worst sorts of people or people on their worst day all day long. So I think it affects their moods and attitudes. Which probably weren't that. Awesome to start with. Great shot!
James, hope you were able to walk away without being arrested. These officers do not look happy. Perhaps this bar serves bad coffee? Claudia is right, this Is an awesome street photo. It's like a still from a Noir movie.
Maybe it's cos they are going into Winter, sometimes that can be bleak and not nice to look forward to, I like Winter though personally.
