Taking a break (Weekend Street/Reflections # 137)

 Newport Beach, California

One night while walking around the fun zone I "spied" a cook taking a break at the Harborside restaurant in the Balboa Pavillion. I took the shot through a circular feature on a metal fence. It kind of looks like the view from a spyglass, which fits the nautical theme of the area.

                                             Have a great weekend!

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

Please no posed pictures, portraits, animals, etc. unless there is a reflection.

"Street photography is a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge."

He is stretching with his hand joyed from the back of his head. I think he doesn't have a place to sleep tonight and is thinking, trying to figure out how to stay here for the night.
Been missing you, I hope you are okay. I almost didn't post tonight but did on the last minute.

Great kind of Hopperesk image. A lot of desolation here.

Regarding your comment on my blog, the book you mentioned is not on the list for Warren County. I believe you are thinking of Fairfax County. Also, professional reviewers disagree with that statement about the book. They say it is a mischaracterization made by people who have not read the book. I have not read Lawn Boy myself so I can’t say for sure.

Blogspot put your comment into the spam folder, and I am hesitant to release it in case a particular phrase is a problem under their terms.

P.S. The book in question is listed in the Adult Fiction section, which is why I did not find it on the list that referred to books for children and teens.
