Eye Contact (Weekend Street/Reflections # 172)

Newtown, Pennsylvania

When doing street photography do you like eye contact?

“The Eyes are the window to your soul” – William Shakespeare

                                            Have a great weekend!

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

Please no posed pictures, portraits, animals, etc. unless there is a reflection.

Click here for street photography examples and inspiration.

"Street photography is a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge."

There is always a shock when you look at your photos later and see someone looking directly at the camera. I shared such a photo a day or two ago. Very striking. Thank you for sharing yours! God bless you. Please pray and think carefully everybody about your vote! LOL

It depends. If you´re going for candid it´s ruined. Other than that it - still - depends. If you know what I mean.

That gaze is flirtatious

Not usually. If someone is clearly trying to attract attention, then eye contact amuses me, but normally it makes me feel self-conscious.

The guy in the middle knows what you are up to. Now watching with one playful eye.
