I'm sure students at Princeton feel a lot of pressure, just look at the guy in the middle photo who is getting his head squeezed by the sculpture.
I took the the bottom two photos on the campus and the top one is a pub across the street.
Thank you to Vogon Poet for translating the Latin.

These are fantastic. I love the one of the student and the sculpture, especially. I love outdoor/public art.
Good one, James.. snicker,snicker:)
Great shots of Princeton! Did you go to the pub before or after you snapped the guy getting his head squeezed :)
Ouch! Can you hear me now?
Great pictures, as always. I love the contrast of the stonework against the blue sky.
Sunny :)
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing as Sunny! Marvelous shots, James, as always. I love the pub, but church against those blue skies is really beautiful! What can I say? Another terrific post!
Have a great week!

This has everything I like old historically valuable buildings and comic irony- nice post w/ spectacular shots
what's that funky looking sculpture? i like it a lot.
Great photos and hard to pcik a favorite. The stonework on the building is wonderful.
Great caption for the second picture. What a beautiful campus.
Yes, that looks pretty painful.
I love the pub sign, and I especially love the last picture. I wonder if that's a chapel or just buildings.
Gorgeous shots, as always. The last one in particular is just breathtaking. The spires against the sky are just amazing. Kathy
Nice shots...beautiful architectural detail on the buildings in the last shot...what luck, a pub across the street from campus...
Terrific as usual! Love the photo of the sign! Very nice, James.
Those are very nice! The colors are so rich and beautiful. The pub looks very inviting...did you go there? Nice post...definitely a nice post!
Awesome! I met my ex in a "pub" called the Yankee Doodle!
Great surroundings! Beautiful shots.
j'aime bien la photo avec la sculpture, elle sert de cadre pour le personnage, bravo
I like the photograph well with the sculpture, she acts as frame for the figure, bravo
wonderful compositions
Great photos once again. The guy in the middle photo seems to be talking on the phone and the sharp points of the sculpture seem to be pointing right at the guy's ear... :-)
The nicest thing about these three photos is that they give three different view of the same place, even the off-campus one.
I visited Princeton some 20 years ago, and still remember the traditional old ivy league school look. Love your photos.
Adorable place, I think if I had the opportunity to study there I could spend a lot of time walking around enjoying the lovely atmosphere.
Wonderful pictures!
By the way..you are always right dear friend, congrats because we were at Switzerland in fact!
We have a great time in Lausanne!
Hugs

Looks just wonderful there. I suppose a little bit of the money set aside for tuition goes into the coffers of that pub. Which is, by the way, a neat looking building.
Pick a Peck of Pixels
I love those old buildings. They just scream tradition!
I hope that's not a question but if it is, the answer is definitely BOTH! Love the stonework of both though one's charming and the other's magnificent. Funny middle photo too. Did you have to wait long before someone passed through? :D
The first and last are really great, out of time, allowing to imagine how life could be in past times. The second is funny! perfect illustration for the word "pressure"!
Wonderful post! Of course there would a pub near the university! I love *getting his head squeezed*! You were in the right place at the right time.
beautiful buildings, and I love the old style wooden sign for the pub.
Let's see, the church before exams and the pub after.
Such wonderful shots. The buildings are beautiful.
I really do not know which of three
choose!
Wonderful series!
I am back! I love the University feel and its architecture. Your captures are great!
