I see you are going all out for the people shots. The colour on the top one is great, don't know what they think those ear 'disks' will look like in 40 years. Great that he posed for you.

Of the two I think I prefer the colour one. I always think that colour deals better with images that are visually busy (as this one is) whilst monochrome focuses on shapes and relationships. There are some splendid shapes in the picture too and the monochrome does emphasis these : so maybe two different photos.
In the color version, I tend to look around in the back ground. In the black and white version I tend to focus on the man. It's neat that you put the two of them up to compare. Great job. I like the composition, and the subject.
I have two minds when I look at B & W photos. One, it makes me think of when I was a kid and those were the only kind of pictures we took. But now, when I look at them, I realize that for those in the photos, the skies were blue, the grass was green etc. Regardless, they are always captivating James. By the way, how do you get to stick your name in the photo? It's a nice touch.
BTW, if you were wondering what Olivier was saying above, let me know, I will be glad to traslate for you.
There are just so many interesting people out there, I never get tired of people watching.
I like both versions. In the black and white version it almost seems as if he is super-imposed on the background..or that the background is but a back drop that he is placed in front of. In the color photo he looks better intergrated into the shot.
