Tree designs (Weekend Reflections # 78)

Newtown, PA (trees reflected in a puddle of melted snow)

Thankfully, I have lots of photos in my archives because I've been off of my feet because of chronic back problems. I like the look of bare trees reflected in water and I usually make photos of them in black and white, but the reflected colors of the sunset were to nice to hide.

If needed, please click the link in the top right corner for Weekend Reflections instructions.
Now, lets have some fun with Weekend Reflections!

Those trees are so clear they don't seem like they could be part of a reflection!

Sorry to hear your back is hurting, be well soon, the weather is finally getting good.

Excellent clarity in the reflections!

Beautiful - hard to be sure if it is looking up or down - guess there'll be an excess of up with your back down - do rest and get better soon.

I think that you were wise in selecting the color for this one... soft and lovely, James.

I am hoping that you will rest and follow doctor's orders... The camera awaits your recovery!

Nice and enigmatic composition, great.

Sorry your back is bothering you again, I hope you feel better soon!

I would not have guessed this was a reflection, except for the context of the meme, nice job!

That is a great photo James. Hope you are feeling better soon.

The way your picture is framed gives a feeling of something not realistic, a little like in a dream..

I Hope your back will be better soon..

Didn't realize that was a reflection !

Wish you all the best for getting better !

The colors on this particular shot are stunning... I really like the blury effect of the background (the dept of the puddle, I guess) : the granularity gives such an interesting aspect to the picture... Nice one, James !

Beautiful shot, I have a thing for trees.

If I wouldn't have read the text, I wouldn't have known it was a reflection!
Sorry to hear about your back -it can be pretty debiliating. I had a pretty bad back 2 years ago (people suggested a wheel chair!), but losethebackpain.com really helped me (it's run by a physical therapist and a chiropractor)), combined with a lot of prayer I'm now pain free.
Take care:)

James, so sorry to hear about your back. I may have something of interest if you want to drop me an e-mail: oregontapir@yahoo.com. Meanwhile, don't we love the archives? I've been using mine, too! Yours is a winner.

For me there is something very primordial about this image. Networks forming from the seemingly formless and chaotic soup of the universe. This image really sparks my imagination!

I am so sorry to hear your back is in pain. I sincerely hope you find relief immediately and can get back out there soon.

I relate to you back issues, James. I just found a chiropractor here in Bucharest to realign that mountain highway of a spine of mine. In the meantime, good reflection find in your archives... but I hope these are the last signs of winter.

Interesting shot. The branches are so crisp that I began to wonder which bit is reflected.

Sorry to hear about your back. Good luck and I hope it recovers soon. Take care, Ev

Time to rest James! Be patient,I am sure you are.
Today it's time to reflect for a change! :-)

Love your shot James! I really enjoy this meme...some very interesting reflections and interpretations of reflections!!!

I couldn't find my thumbnail so I entered my stuff again...ooops!!! now I've got two up there and can't figure out how to delete one of them!!!

I love that sky through the branches. Hope your back is feeling better soon!

Sorry to hear that your back is bothering you. I know what you mean but I have felt a million times better since I stopped eating and drinking milk products.

Your photo is really "impressionnante."

I like this! I did something similiar awhile ago with a puddle (one of the few we get here!) in bw too, I like your tinge of color here.

Carolyn Ford said...

It looks so much like a normal tree with a cloudy sky...it's amazing how reflections can look so real at times. So, this means that the snow is melting...yay for the East Coast!

Owen said...

Hey James, so sorry to hear you're having back problems, I sincerely hope this flare up will not last too long, and with the blooming Spring season you'll be out and about before long.

Your tree reflection here is awesome, really great image that draws us in and makes us wonder how we are perceiving what we are seeing, not many clues that it is a reflection, except around the edges...

Take good care of yourself...

Your archive shots are always welcome. Hope you are all better soon! Bare branches around here, still. But I did see a few pink trees beginning. My shot is also an archive one, but a good one, I think:

I am so glad you didn't hide the colors. They are awesome.

So sorry to hear about your back. I find turmeric to be a wonderful anti-inflammatory to relieve pain.
