Le Chat Qui Rit (Weekend Reflections # 143)

Venice, Italy

This isn't the clearest photo so I'll explain. It's a narrow walkway in Venice with a large window on the left that's reflecting the stuff on the right. The hanging sign with the picture of a laughing cat says "Self Service" and below that in small letters it says "Chat Qui Rit" which is French for Laughing Cat.
I hope you all  oops I mean y'all have a great weekend! :o)

Please only link posts that have picture/s of reflections.

Great reflection! The narrow streets and alleys of the old towns make interesting photo ops.

That is a neat reflection - glad you explained it though - I thought it was another look-alike alley! Like the treatment!

I love seeing your scenes from abroad. They make me a bit jealous, but love them just the same. Those narrow alleys are tricky, but you nailed this shot. I love the BW too. Happy weekend James.

Does this mean you are a Texan in Venics?
True, Venice has some very narrow alleys, but it makes that city so quaint, among other things:)

Someone told me that the food here is both overpriced and overcooked. Your photo, on the other hand, is perfect! Hope you have a good weekend too, James.

It IS complicated. Glad you explained.

The narrowness of the alley way offers a great opportunity for an unusual photo that almost looks like a detailed fantasy sketch! Beautiful!

Excellent photo in B & W. I like this reflection, it almost seems a duplicate, very good.

This is very close to "le Chat Qui Peche" which is a tiny alley in Paris.

This is a clever shot and I love seeing all the details in b/w!

That is a wonderful reflection shot, James. Camera Powershot 595 noted. I am wondering which camera in the series this is....

That sign is pretty funny. I can see how it caught your attention. I love all the metalwork on it as well. It's kind of amazing how Europe can retain centuries of charm, while here in the USA, all too often, just 50 years old is discarded, abandoned, or demolished. I like it when people respect history and try to keep it alive for future generations to enjoy.
