I finally made it, but my wife and cat's flight was canceled do to bad weather. So I able to spend a few unexpected hours walking around Baltimore. From there it was only supposed to take two hours to drive to Langhorne Pa, but the Philadelphia Phillies had a day game so it took four hours. I hope the Dallas weather is better tomorrow. Now we wait for the movers while we get to know our new area.

Good that you kept smiling despite the delay!

Hi guys, Yep I made it and now I'm smiling. I'm too old for this. I need a cadillac or other comfortable car next time I drive 1500 miles. :-) Either that or take more time and make lots of stops.
By the way welcome to my new blog!

My best friend lives in PA--we call it Pennsyltucky--go figure--
looking forward to your new posts. Enjoy!!
Welcome to PA James. While I am no currently living there, I spent most of my life in PA, and will be headed back "home" in just 16 days. We will be living in Lansdale. When I was a teen we bought a new car, and it happened to be from a dealer in Newtown on State Street(a good hour from our home), so when it would need to go in for repair or maintenance, I would ride with my mom and we would have lunch at a nice little place within walking distance... I don't recall the name. I always thought it was such a quaint little place!
I'll be posting pics of our road trip and new adventures starting in June! It's not a new area to me, but we've been gone for six years!
Congrats on your move!!! I just noticed that you are originally from Orange County. So is my family. And yes, it is pretty normal for us to have snow into the early summer on the mountain, but not as low as the lake levels. I really hope it melts!
I have to say having lived in the Philly region of PA all my life, I love your blog. I am learning things from you about this area I never knew about. Funny how you see the things all your life but never really notice them. It is fun to see them from your perspective.
Thanks for stopping by my blog too.
