That is a great reflection photo. Could it be from eastern Europe?

Malyss said...

It looks like a puzzle in an other one: the reflection puzzle , framed with white, among the stones puzzle of the wall..The naked winter tree does not hide the blue sky behind..
A hundred reflections links?.. "We are the champions, my friend.."Ü
Thanks to YOU!

A nice one - and it fitted in very well with the pattern of the bricks.

James, excellent contrast between the browns of the wall and the blue sky reflected in the windows... :) Mine's up! :)

It looks like tic-tac-toe! The golden colored tree reflection is just gorgeous!

That is a great shot! The disjointed limbs that are not reflected by the wood do give it an interesting effect.

I love this for all the right reasons: BLUE SKY! (and nice composition)

HaHa! I can relate to sometimes taking a photo and then not remembering where I took it.

Great analogy James. Two different puzzles.

I have a new blog just for photography. Started it yesterday.

This reflection is totally oil painting.
The obstacle of the stone is a frame.

I see what you mean. Strange about that.
Funny that you don't remember where it's from. :)

It reflects well on your gracious hosting that the meme has grown so fast.

The reflection is just like you reflected upon. The wall is exceptionally pretty too.

The blue is so intense amid the neutral color of the stone. It really draws your eye. It kind of reminds me of a rubics cube.

The reflection in the old window is perfect and the colors are amazing. I also like the clear details on the stone masonry.
To forget where you took the picture that happens sometimes with me too.

Diane AZ said...

Great colors! The golden color of the trees goes with some of the mortar between the rocks.

B SQUARED said...

It really does look painted. Nice!

Gemma Wiseman said...

Beautiful, vibrant reflection in contrast to the roughly hewn textures of the brick work! It does look so much like a painted puzzle!

SquirrelQueen said...

I love window reflections and this one is especially great. The blue of the sky makes a great contrast to the stone work of the building. The weathered window frame is wonderful.

eileeninmd said...

James, wonderful puzzle reflection. Love the tree and blue sky.

Yolanda said...

I think the wonderful distortion in reflection is what makes them so interesting and intriguing! Nicely done!

Ann said...

Beautiful clear reflection. Must be an attractive building with that stonework.

Hilda said...

You're right, it does look like a sliding puzzle! Cute. I never could solve those things…

Too bad you can't remember where this is though because I was going to ask if you could take a photo of the entire house — I love the stonework!

Congratulations on the growing participants! That's wonderful news! We owe you thanks too for setting up this fun meme. :)

Happy weekend, James!

That is a superb photograph, just love it.

I'm not sure which elements I like best James. The reflection is great, the stonework is fantastic and I love the old window. Nice work.

I'm late today. We didn't get as much snow as the northern and western suburbs this time. I didn't have a lot of shoveling to do. Enough is enough already.

Maude Lynn said...

That is a stunning photo!

Spectacular. They look like mirrors.

Luckily it has twelve pieces, which allows it to be solved.

Indeed a wonderful play of light and its result. Please have a wonderful start into the weekend and a very honest thank you for providing the challenge to find reflections, something which indeed helps to get through the day and night.

I hope you remember where, 'cause I'm guessing there are more good opportunities there! The branches are amazing.

Congratulations on 100 links. A great meme, absolutely. Many people are inspired by your suggestion to focus on reflections!

This one is very lovely. I like the brilliant blue of the sky, especially! While we are not blizzarding here in Seattle, it sure is gray, cold and wet.

Like painted on the window ... exactly what I thought when I posted mine. I love your puzzle, and the blue sky that's in it. Blue skies always add to whatever it is you're photographing, don't they?

penny said...

I like the colorful blue sky reflecting in window. The tree dose look like a puzzle and you captured it perfectly, James.

The puzzle is indeed a puzzle and with some time and photoshop you could even shuffle the pieces... :)
Sorry not enough time to post these days.

Wherever you took it, it's gorgeous. We don't have lovely old things like that in Florida. I guess the State gets so sick of old people they make up for it by destroying old things.

Nessa said...

I love the way the lines of the trees break up the straight lines of the window frame and the contrast of the clear smooth blue of the sky with the rough reddish stones.

Mirror, Mirror

Beautiful! Love the contrast between the reflection and the stone.

tapirgal said...

The images and colors are fantastic. I love the color of the reflected sky! The ochre branches echo the mortar between the stones. And yes, isn't it irritating when you can remember where you too it? :)

Beautiful reflection of these bare trees against the clear blue skies ... love the brick building too! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who forgets where I took pictures ;-)
