Looking Through the Trees

The Barn
The Farmhouse
This is another one of my favorite spots in Newtown. It's an old farm behind the trees. I think the house is at least two hundred years old. There are ruins of other old structures that are almost completely hidden by trees. To my surprise I discovered that it's still a working farm.
Thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers about my back! I have lots of scar tissue, arthritis and nerve damage so when I'm not careful I pay the price. Hopefully it won't be long until I'm back to my normal routine.

I feel like I'm always repeating myself when it comes to your pictures. These are absolutely stunning! I love how the barn and farmhouse are framed by the trees. Fantastic!
Sorry that your back has been acting up, hope it feels better soon.

Love the first shot, the colors rock! If it's a working farm, is the bard still used? I love to roam through barns. That house looks pretty cool as well.

Be well, my friend.

I like imagining how people toiled in old places like this.

Keep on resting.

I can't choose and like the two beautyful framed pictures..The ground around the buildings shows that the farm is still working. I used to work in farms in summer when I was young (so long ago, since yesterday! Ü). Good memories are coming back!
I'm glad to read you begin to feel better!

Nice framing of the subject!

I cannot go on the Scott Kelby walk, we have a nephew getting married. I debated trying to squeeze it in but hubby gave me 'the look.'

Oh My James,

I had no idea your back was in the amount of pain you described here. Have you tried yoga? Or maybe that might make it worse. Just a thought.

It certainly doesn't stop you from seeing the world in a uniquely beautiful, peaceful way. I love the way these two are composed and framed by the foliage in the foreground. It makes one feel part of the scene, peeking through into another world. Love the tonal range of the greens in the second one especially. So rich. Talk about a natural.

Take good care so you can get back out there and keep amazing us with your wonderful take on life.

Sending prayers and well wishes for a speedy recovery!

Beautiful shots - the only problem is now I want to see them close up! If this is a working farm, maybe they would give you permission to wander?

I'm glad you're feeling better. Chronic pain is no fun.

That first photo looks like a painting - that sky is just such a beautiful color of blue!

I love old houses and barns. I love the way the trees frame these photos!

Hope you're on the mend very soon!

I certainly hope your back gets to feeling better. There's nothing worse than back pain, I hear.

Love this old farm. It looks great against that blue, blue sky in your first shot.

Does anyone live there?

You are such a talented photographer!

Did you intend the "spy" perspective on these two photos? A little sneaky? More exciting? It is.
