Winter Snapshots

Newtown, Pennsylvania~
This barn is pretty close to my house so I decided to take a few shots through my car window on my way to the park this afternoon. Now I just have to remember to submit it to Tricia's Barn Charm meme.
I took the bottom photo on Friday. As you can see it's very similar to my Weekend Reflections photo except this one has even more snow and it was taken with my point and shoot.

Yet, you wouldn't believe how much beauty is already beneath that white of snow. It might take a bit of time to show though. Patience and a good new month for you all.

That is an old old barn...if walls could talk...bet it could tell some stories! Great shots.

I'm partial to the first shot, it's great in monochrome.

I like the black and white version the best. I think the snow is more pronounced and the barn seems more aged.

It easily looks like it could be 100 years ago! Beautiful!

That bottom shot is fabulous just like your reflections post... even with the point and shoot it is just charming. Great barn photo with the ancient (by our standards) construction... the snow is a perfect enhancement!

That's a beautiful stone barn, you don't see many like that in this area; mostly barn boards.
I like the contrasts in your last picture but it sure looks cold!
Are you ready for another storm?

The small barn looks exactly like the small shelters that can be found here in the mountains!
I'm impressed to see that you still have so much snow!

Wonderful old stone barn. It must have taken forever to find enough stones to build it!

Great great find, James & I particularly like that 1st shot in b&w... the mood of the shot is totally different than the 2nd... & I'm so sorry ya'll are having to deal w/ sooo much snow! Looks like the snow storm is going to just barely miss us where I am in Southeast Missouri... I hope it dissipates soon & doesn't cause anymore grief!!! Ya'll be careful out there! =)

BRRRR. The snow looks pretty deep and we hear out here in good old Cali that another major storm is headed your way. You are having quite a winter! I'm sure you will cherish these images and memories forever, as I do looking at your winter wonderland of images. Stay warm and safe!

My first to see a stone barn. The b/w shots with the snow looks so beautiful. It is a warm safe haven for the animals too.

Looking forward for a big celebration of your blog anniversary in March. You have produced a lot of magnificent photos throughout time.

Looks like your tree came out of the cold into my neighborhood! :-D That's a charming stone barnyard, James. I like both the color and the B&W. Nothing bad about point-n-shoots these days, even cell phones can take awesome shots, but I'm glad your car windows are clean.
