The Boardwalk Wildwood, New Jersey (The turtles and fish are part of a mural that's reflected in the window of a diner) If you look closely you will see a large Pepsi cup, stools and other things inside the diner.)
A couple of things:
1) May 14th will be the second year anniversary of Newtown Area Photo which seems like a good time to change the name Weekend Reflections. It's pretty much been just Weekend Reflections for a while anyway. Thanks for the support and great comments during the last two years! I'm moving back to California next week and I'm taking the long way home so Weekend Reflections will be on auto pilot from May 20th until mid June.
2)Weekend Reflections will live on but I'll be posting snapshots from the road and later photos of California as well as other places to my main blog Something Sighted .
Please stop by and say hello.
If needed, please click the link in the top right corner for Weekend Reflections instructions. Now, lets have some fun with Weekend Reflections!
Great shot James, hope the move goes smoothly and that you enjoy the road trip.
Pretty soon you will find yourself with a "sea" of ideas for "reflections."
Have the least stressed possible move.
I love the whimsy here James. Have a safe trip. If I remember correctly, we share blog anniversaries. I must check.
Nice mural, special because it's captured in a reflection.
I've never been to Wildwood. As a kid, we always went to Ocean City, NJ.
Have a safe trip!!
Seldom have I turtles feature in modern art! They always seem to be associated with legends! This reflection is very beautiful!
I'm sure did not mean to convey an environmental message, James, but your image makes me think of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Well done. Glad Blogger was made to behave again. And have a smooth move, James.
a nice photo for reflection. Fun to study it for a while.
I love the mural, especially the turtle
have a wonderful road trip
I wish you all good things in your new place
and I look forward to so great shots from the trip
On the road again? Someone should write a song about that.
Wishing you all the best in your journey, James. You'll find plenty of fabulous reflections in California.
Meanwhile, your photo today is a great one!

I love these unexpected finds.
I love it! You always find a fun surprise reflection for us to enjoy! I'm holding good thoughts for your move -- having just done that myself, I'll keep holding them until I know you're settled and comfortable!
An underwater Pepsi machine. Not your typical soft drink venue. Welcome back to California. Will you be back in the Bay Area? Have fun on the road trip.
Love your photo!!
Obviously you are always on the alert for a great reflection, you find so many of them.
I have to apologize because my choice for Weekend Reflections is a old picture.
Unfortunately, Gunner our Chesapeake Bay Retriever has not been doing well and at one point we thought we'd have to put him down. He's on quite a few meds and has improved a lot, but his arthritis has taken its toll. :(
Great photo. Looking forward to seeing your photos on the road. Happy travels.
Bon anniversaire ! et bon voyage !
Sorry about posting 3 times, had some full page error messages...
I hope the person / people who painted the mural get to see this. I expect they would be fascinated and impressed.
I almost posted turtles today too. Safe travels—am really looking forward to pics from your cross-country road trip!
Thanks for informing me the contest was on !
Your choice for this week is brilliant, James, and the suspense Blooger has put us through was sooooo worth...
This way of taking picture of this painting enlight the subject, in my opinion ; the colors are so bright and so soft at the same time...
Happy blog anniversary, James : that was a great idea you got two years ago : I just love this contest (and it is funny cause it is the next day of my own birthday, in fact... :D)...
I wish you the best for your moving, and I look forward to look at the snapshots of your trip on Something sighted...
Congratulations on the anniversary. I'm glad the Weekend Reflections continue. Good luck with your move and I hope you enjoy your travel. I just signed up to follow your other blog as well.
Happy anniversary! Thanks for all the work you have put into this blog and the enjoyment it has given us all.
Funny how the turtle seems to dip a flipper into the Pepsi.
Have a good move.
Glad you got your post back! This is a wonderful reflection!
Very nice mural. I see the Pepsi and other things. Great shot!
Wonderful shot James, the artist did a good rendition of the mural.
RYC: I would love to visit the Southwest, and I am sure there will be lots of photo ops along the way back to California. Have a safe travel, and hope to join you as you re explore your native OC.
Hugs to Simba and Lucy...
The turtles are very cool! And yes, I can see Pepsi. :-)
Delightful reflected art! I like the double image in shots like this. Enjoy your photographic journey across the USA!
Glad you still could post Weekend Reflections. The problems at Blogger got me all confused and I did some dumb things!
If possible, could you delete pic 55, please, whenever you have time. I tried, since it brings one to my email site instead of my blog! (but apparently I don't know how to do it:(
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Your own pic was worth waiting for with all the fine blues!
Have a fab trip; you'll be in photo heaven I know.
So the old link will just roll over into the new blog name, yes? As soon as I see it in your header bar I'll change it in my link to you, from now on, of course.
P.S. I have a really neat reflection shot this week: Classic scenic Japanese garden with water http://www.lovethatimage.com/blog/?p=3844
If we could really see what's "under the sea", I would prefer Coke! Ha ha!
So fun...hard to believe it's a reflection, the only clue is the reflected artist's name.
The reflections create an interesting collage image as a submarine.
Funny reflections !
Beautiful wall !
Happy blogbirthday !
Enjoy your trip and your week end. Blogger is giving us a bit of an unwanted adventure. I have lost data on my blogs and it is still operating very slow. It took me two days to upload the photos for this post and the previous two days I could not even get into my blogs.
Wildwood, New Jersey is one of my favorite places in the United States. Seriously! In fact, I love all the Jersey shore. Probably because of all the great childhood memories. You caught the wacky character of the place!
Thanks James for deleting my pic -what a relief!
Almost looks like the turtle is holding the cup!
A very nice reflection. BTW congrats, 2 years is a nice mile stone. Anna :)
What a beautiful view!!
Happy to be following you now!
