Sorry! (Weekend Reflections # 255)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

When I was a kid I had a board game called "Sorry!". The pieces were yellow, green, red and blue and looked like this yellow game piece, only much smaller. Blue was always my favorite but this time yellow won.  :-)

Have you ever played Sorry?

This is the place to see and share reflections. Click the rules tab above for more information.

With my kids - a favorite family game when they were little. My son, in particular, loved being "allowed" to say an ever-so-sarcastic "sorry!" out loud. This is a cool shot - and yellow just happens to be my favorite color!

Our girls used to play that with the kids in the apartment next door—then all the parents would play after the children went to bed. Snarky fun for the whole family!

This is the first time I hear about this board game, actually... I've done some research on the internet (thanks wikipedia !) to have a look, the board looks like a game called "Les petits chevaux", in French, but the game doesn't seems to have a lot to do with this one...

An intriguing reflection for me, this gigantic pawn... ^^

I've played Sorry many a time throughout my life!!! I'd be curious to know the history behind this becoming a community attraction?

Red was my colour! Your summer seems to be as wet as ours here in Switzerland!

Oh yes, I played Sorry as a kid and then played it again with my children and then, years later, with my Granddaughter. And my favorite color was blue as well, so clearly we will never be able to play it together. What a cool piece to find in a park ... and only you would have noticed the reflection. Awesome, James ...

Sorry is still my all-time favorite board game. Played it as a kid, with my kids, and my mother when she was very old.

Have a vague recollection of seeing a boxed game of "Sorry", but don't recall having played it. (Memory is probably slipping!!) Lovely bright yellow post James - thanks again for hosting. Happy weekend to you and yours.

The name of the game was never said sincerely when any player sent my piece back to "home!" But what fun it would be to play with these giant pieces.

I have played many, many times, just never with pieces this big.

I have heard of the game, but I've never played it. Love the perspective of the yellow piece. It looks like a tower.

Yellow is one of my favourite colours! ;-)

I never played Sorry, but I did play parcheesi which had game pieces that looked like the yellow sculpture. It would be fun to play a game moving pieces this big. Just think of the muscles we'd be building. Love the textures of your photo. :-)

WOW, I missed linking up! Geez, I posted my first reflection image and didn't get to join the fun. :( Oh well...I'll do better next time. When does Weekend Reflections go live? Anyhow, I loved playing Sorry and so did our kids. This was one of our favorite board games when they were small. What a fabulous photo! If you wish to visit Weekend photo contribution, then I would love to have you stop by! I'll hop around to see some of the other bloggers photos.
