Trapped in a Reflection (Weekend Reflections # 297)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Men in the window: "Why is that strange guy taking our picture?"

Me: "Because if there is one type of photography that I like more than reflections, it's street photography. I couldn't pass up this mixture of both."

Well, at least that's how I imagine it would have went down if I stayed there long enough. However, when doing candid shots, I like to stop, click, then keep walking. :-)

Happy Reflecting!

This is the place to see and share reflections. Click the rules tab above for more information.  A Reflection =  An image given back by a reflecting surface.  A PHOTOGRAPH of a REFLECTION or REFLECTIONS.

I'm getting braver....but I'm still not so bold as to snap a shot if I feel "caught"!! Great expressions - and love that we've got both nature and man made in the reflection. Happy Weekend!

Great capture, James! I tend to be a bit chicken in these situations—but maybe it's easier when your subjects are trapped behind glass. :~}

With the look of the guy on your right, I'm surprised that he didn't come out with his dukes up.

This is fantastic. I can really imagine how the men are talking and wonder.

They certainly look surprised by you!

It's the hit and run that makes them wonder. In this day and age, you never know what you are capturimg. Maybe a secret meeting or a passing of money, secrets, or ... anyway, the bottom line is, you caught the perfect expressions on both of their faces. That made it all worth while.

It's really a great capture, James, but you may have had gotten away with something there - like hearing what the guy on the right is calling you. ;)

This is fantastic. I must say I would feel awkward if someone was taking my photo!

Great reactions. I always try to sneak my shots, but you confront humanity head-on. The responses are well worth it!
