Les Coureurs des Bois (Weekend Street/Reflections # 49)

 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

They remind me of French Canadian trappers or traders.

Yes, she is wearing a Hudson Bay blanket coat and he does look like a Canadian trapper. Have a Happy New Year, James.

Interesting link, James. Didn't know that the Dutch were so involved on this side of the ocean in those days! Had heard about a capote, but didn't know what it was. A blanket as a coat in these harsh weather conditions makes totally sense to me! A happy New Year to you and your wife:)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
The dog is giving you the once over, the young lady would like to give you a smile, and the frumpy old man is tired of playing Santa so he kept his beard groomed this year.
Nice catch, James.

Great street portrait of those two. On Saturdays I always look forward to your blog what kind of picture you are going to post next because they are always good and inspiring to get started yourself. Have a very good and inspiring new year James.
