Gente di Trastevere/People of Trastevere (Weekend Street/Reflections # 56)

 Rome, Italy

When I saw these people sitting in a bar in the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome one evening in 2016, it reminded me of a rare old street photo book from the early 1960s called "Gente di Trastevere by Carlo Bavagnoli."

Here's some pictures from the book, what do you think?

                 Have a great weekend!

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

Please no posed pictures, portraits, animals, etc. unless of course there is a reflection.

Click here for street photography examples and inspiration.

"Street photography, a genre of photography that records everyday life in a public place. The very publicness of the setting enables the photographer to take candid pictures of strangers, often without their knowledge."

A great shot. The picture above their heads goes well with the scene.

Wonderful street photo. You found three people with lots of character.

I agree with you about the book! You picture made me immediately think of Federico Fellini's movies, often showing those kinds of faces .
Have a nice weekend!

Great shot James. I probably won't be able to get thru the linky list to post my pic, because my computer is in the shop and am typing on an old unsupported one, that does not do hyperlinks! Same for next week, if my own computer has not come back yet.

Too bad these guys don't know each other or don't want to meet and chat. Both look very bored.

le décor du café à l'ancienne accentue cette scène et aussi le tableau sur le mur
