Praying for pizza? (Weekend Street/Reflections # 99)

Venice, Italy

The first time I walked by this window neither one of them had food, a few minutes later I noticed the woman was eating and the man looked like he was praying.

Have a good weekend!

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

Many of your photos capture the mystery in the mundane like Hoppers Nighthawks.

He was likely praying his food would arrive soon. Wonderful street photo filled with action and mystery.

You sure get some good shots, maybe he's religious and likes to pray over his food before eating or maybe he was praying the food was going to be good.

What a great candid street capture!

I immediately thought the same thing. Such an interesting and provocative slice of life! BTW, my reflection was inadvertently cropped out of my photo selection.

He wanted to ask a blessing for the food and
she said, "Gimme that, I'm too hungry to pray!!"
Or maybe he is fasting and cannot eat?

Great Street Photography! I like how you´re using the negative space.

I agree with Cloudia. Again Hopper repeats in atmosphere. Nice photo.

Hi James, yes, it is cold here. It's currently 0°F with a 15 to 25 mph wind making it damn cold, but I've only worn my snorkel parka once so far this season. I may get to wear it in coming days as we will seldom be above zero and the wind always blows here. Some would say it sucks.

Wrote back a comment to you in reply to yours, but then I remembered that you wouldn't know that, because you are on blogspot. Wow, am glad you got the message of that dream and prayed. I wrote more, so if you like to read that, (it's more personal), please look up your comment on this week's blog.
