Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Several years ago I quickly snapped this shot as I walked by. The man was struggling with the steps so I walked back to see if he needed help. Surprisingly after the slow start he finished with much more confidence and agility.
Have a great weekend!💖

Nice shot but indeed what to do. First helping or first taking the photo.
Union League on broad Street. It's great that you have a heart that notices others! God bless you Aloha
I hope he is careful and goes slowly.
I witnessed similar. I watched a man struggle down stairs at the supermarket. i offered to take his shopping and stand at the bottome so he could use his cane and the rail, or help at his suggestion but he declined. Then I felt bad because maybe I made him feel bad....what to do?
Your photo tells a story of declining abilities and increasing difficulties brought on by age.
I know how he feels. I’m still recovering from a sprained knee and steps are difficult.
Heartfelt image and story behind. Thanks for your kindness.
