Lovely scene...I bet he's been waiting all winter to enjoy the fishing like that.

I entered the title of the post instead of my name, because it said "title" - oops.

Great reflections! It looks pretty shallow where he is standing. I wonder if he caught anything.

The covered bridge makes me think of the movie with Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep, in Madison county..The reflection is there enough to be seen, and light enough to seem to vanish in the little waves...So peaceful!

I've seen fishermen standing in the middle of rivers before but this one looks a bit bewilderded to me.

gentle ripples add to all the wonderful reflections

What an amazing reflection and lovely colors. I like the calm water surface around the right bridge pillar and the warm colors of the reflection.
Perfect mirror image of the fisherman.

I like this very much, James!

Oh that's a good one. I love the way the bridge and its reflection frames the fisherman's own peaceful world out there.

Nice shot, the fisherman just adds that little extra.

Amazing one James.

Your contrast between light and dark and between fisherman in a light mood with a heavy bridge over him is great.

Now I want to go fishing. Duh, how'm I going to do that, huh? Love all the reflections here!

James, via SisterTex's blog I'm so sorry to hear that Bucky passed away. I didn't know where else to say this. I want you to know I left a comment on Vicki's blog and just wanted to let you know as well that my thoughts and aloha go out to you my friend. :) You and Vicki are such wonderful people :) May Bucky rest in peace :)

The proportions here are terrific, James. Blocky, chunky and imposing. The lone figure makes it all very idyllic. Quite wonderful ...

Huge, beautiful reflections that completely fill the photo! And love how the fishing guy is standing surrounded by this wonderworld.

Great shot James. That guy fishing makes it perfect.

Alone with your thoughts in the middle of peaceful surroundings… I can get to like this sport.

Lovely textures all over: the wooden planks, the stone base, the jumble of trees, the rippling water, the soil. Wonderful!

How sturdy the structure and how vulnerable the lone fisherman looks. A beautiful study of reflections
captured in one shot.

Very nicely framed by the bridge and its reflection!

I think this is one of the few covered bridges I have not yet visited. This is very nice!

What a perfect place to remain, surrounded by floating time.

I love the contrast of the large bridge structure against the smallness of the fisherman - very striking! & of course, lovely reflection shot.

Hi James,

McLinky list is not working. I have one too on my Macro Flowers bog and I was notified in a comment that it does not work.
I came here to see if your list works but this is out too. The dashboard is not accessible either.
I'm quite new in Mclinky and I thought you know how to fix this.
Please let me know if you find out something.
Thanks.

I really like this picture - the orange accent of the fisherman's vest ... the way the covered bridge is completely shown in reflection. It sets a very idyllic mood.

One of your best images, I really love this.

A gorgeous, natural frame!

That's beautifully shimmery with wonderfully clear colors.

The man is so small and with such a colorful reflection...Shows how big even a seemingly small covered bridge is. I like the angles cast by the bridge reflected on the water too.

Thanks for your comment validating the street light in my NYC photo. I liked it, too, then I started wondering if it really "should" be there. It's good to have a second opinion :)

I didn't manage to get a reflection in this time, but your covered bridge is gorgeous...
