This is one of the pictures that I took during a walk that Vicki and I took on Thanksgiving. We saw the snow falling and we had to go outside. This was right about when the snow turned into rain. That's Vicki walking ahead of me. I love this time of year!
This is my Old Barns post. Follow the link for more old barn photos.

Wonderful composition James!
I love the different colours in this picture, mainly the fantastic sky!
*** I also love Vicki's red jacket ( coat )!
Here is snowing a lot today - all day long!I took some pictures in front of French school in the morning.Snow is so beautiful!I have same feeling inside my heart when I see the snow , it's like a purification, something like that,I can't find the right word, but it's wonderful!

This is such a great photograph! I bet it was warm and toasty by the fire. We are lucky if we see a dusting of snow and I hold out hope each year that we will get some!
What a beautiful image James. Right composition, excellent colors, and a great mood.
superbe photo, bien mise en valeur par le traitement
le petit chaperon rouge!
Hi James,
mi piace molto questa foto del tuo mondo così da vicino... Vicki, il fumo della casa... un attimo di vita quotidiana così lontana eppure così vicina...
Buona serata :))
Myriam
I love this, it inspires everything i love about this time of year:)))
One can feel the impending winter. Nice old-fashioned feeling about this photo.
The colours are fabulous and that touch of red: wow!
C'est une magnifique photographie... Ce rouge au centre est parfait! Bravo
i love old barns too. i actually posted one today. like minds, :)
hope all is well. have a great day.
almost forgot... love the pic.
I love the feeling of able to burn some wood during winter. But these days it is hard to find one when everyone prefers to use gas/oil heaters.
Striding towards a lovely open fire. We see the smoke from it and it looks inviting. Not to me, though, as I'm in Australia and the hot summer is just getting into its stride!
Looks as if taken within a long gone epoche. Impressed. Please have you all a good Tuesday.

Brrrrr. LOVE the red jacket. (Can't be too cold if Vicki is wearing jeans - maybe flannel lined?) The big house looks in great shape. The barn is very picturesque but would be sad for it to collapse.
WV: muddpat - no kidding!
Great shot, it shouts winter!!!!
This could not be more perfect...I can almost smell the wood smoke. I really do love this one.
I like the colouring in the photograph.
What a great image. The soft earth tones of the misty landscape and almost monochrome old buildings contrasted with the bright red jacket is absolutely fantastic! Once again I get a real sense of time, the present meeting and making peace with the past. This scene makes my mind drift...
Everything is soft and misty with that red jacket wakes up our eye. This is a great photograph.
Your compsition is well drawn, it takes my eye on a wonderful adventure!
That was a fantastic photo to start out with. When you added Vicki and her red coat, it became amazing...
Vicki's red coat add the final touches to this amazing photo...what a striking composition and the smoke from the chimney adds such warmth. Your processing...wow, it's all so outstanding, James!
Alors nous écoutions les mêmes musiques... Bonne journée!!!
Trés belles couleurs pour une balade un peu triste ...
A beautiful photo and I just LOVE that smoke from the chimney! Perfect.
Oh James! It's fabulous.
(I wish I had your camera too!)

I can see the thin layer of snow on the roof of the barn & I can also see the smoking rolling out of that chimney of the house, it looks COOOOLD! Great barn & farm shot
We have snow James

Greetings to Vicki

The photo is perfect for announcing the arrival of winter! I love the touch of red.
Nice shot, makes me want some hot chocolate.
I like this time of year too. I think we are in the minority, though. :) This photo makes me feel warm and happy.
Such a wonderful composition James. Love the way you have treated this shot. The tones are perfect with such a great balance.
You've made what could be a bleak November scene seem very warm and inviting. I love the tones and the composition. Beautiful.
This is such a wonderful compostion; so many elements come together to make a perfect picture. Great title too!

Preciosas fotografías.
A perfect scene! I love the way her red jacket stands out against the more somber tones of fall.
Whenever I visit my friends in Ohio and travel to Kentucky, I'm intrigued with the gorgeous America barns. This shot is fabulous. A stunning old barn but it's so made perfect with the smoke and the red jacket. Superb shot.
Great picture!
Winter seems beautiful there :)
I just love the colors on this one...
i really love this scene (though it looks cold!). Great shot here!
The red coat of your wife, brings a cheerful punch to the pic, James! I stayed inside for Thanksgiving:):)
My favorite time of the year, too. Crisp, fresh air and all those gorgeous colors.... Beautiful shot here.
Have just returned to look at this again. It is a very special picture.
Lucy
really great shot, every one can feel different thing from this photo, do you do some extra edit on your photos? if yes which software do you use? Photoshop? or Lightroom?
Thanks for you answer, I just want to edit my photos before posting them but I don't how, and with which software I will get most of the photo, photoshop, lightroom, or some programs such as one you mentioned, any way thanks for you tip, I have just one camera Canon EOS 500D with two lenses, 18-55 and 55-250, I will be glad if you leave comment about my photos and help me to improve my photography skill,
thank in advance
Lovely, James... Your post-processing is perfect to bring out the moodiness of this early winter country barn scene with Vicky in her red jacket.
