Le pettegole (Weekend Street/Reflections # 130)

 Venice, Italy

I couldn't understand what they were saying but it seemed like gossip. Maybe it was their body language or maybe because they looked around and then lowered their voices as they talked. In any case, it reminded me of the title of a painting from the 19th-century Venetian artist Luigi Pastega "Le Pettegole" (in English The Gossips, ou Les Potins en francais).

                                           Have a great weekend!

Now you can link reflections and/or street photography.

Please no posed pictures, portraits, animals, etc. unless there is a reflection.

They look like important ladies discussing people and events. Great photo, James.

Pretty snooty stuff they're talking of, the person on the left has her chin high.

I don't think the lady on the right is too happy with what is being said James but a great capture. Thanks for hosting and I hope you have a lovely week ahead.

Those women in coats!! When I was in Venice you could tell the local (middleaged or older) because they all wore fur coats and sunglasses - even at night. It was hilarious. I went to church, a small turn out and we were the only tourists. Everyone bar 1 was female. All in those coats....hehehe.

It looks like this linkup has a 12-year anniversary of sorts coming soon. Thank you for hosting.

I have just the feeling they ignore each other. But a great shot it is.
