A Slow Night at the Trattoria (Weekend Street/Reflections # 14)

I took this photo in 2018 however it could have been taken in 2020 or 2021 with more customers.  COVID restrictions haven't been enforced in my city and several restaurants have remained open. 

However, I think some restaurants were open only for takeaway for a while.

I've been tracking COVID since February 2020, and thankfully, it has never been a big problem here.

Newport Beach population 86,000:

As of April 29, 2021, there are approximately 134 cases.

From day one less than 5% of the population have been infected (3,868 cases), and of those infected, more than 98% survive. (total deaths 75)

It was 2014. We were on a train from Florence to Venice or maybe it was from Venice to Florence. My wife was trying to read a book called "Cat Bearing Gifts" while the two women were having a slightly loud conversation. Maybe I should have paid extra for “la carrozza silenzio.” Just kidding. They didn't bother my wife and I found them entertaining.

Waiting? (Weekend Street/Reflections # 12)

Photographs can be visual templates for stories. We can fill in the blanks.

A few weeks ago, I posted a photo of a woman waiting for a bus in Paris, or maybe she was just resting her feet. 

What's the story here?  

She could be waiting for someone, or perhaps she's waiting for a pizza, or maybe it's something completely different.
