Obstructed View

I can imagine the statue saying "who's bright idea was it to block my view with these buildings" Even so there is still plenty of beautiful Philadelphia sky to be seen.

I am getting so provincial, I thought that was New York City! Great shot with the statue in the forefront, almost as if he is looking on with us.

Fabulous shot, James! Love the title and couldn't agree more. Buildings do tend to block our view of the beauty in the sky, but how do you get along without them??? Have a great weekend!

Great shot and title. A bit oppressive, as probably intended, with the sky as something really to watch.

LOL! One could imagine that the statue was there before the buildings. :-)

Hi, James, I love your post, very funny.
P.S. That certainly is the Harbor Freeway, facing north bound.

That is a great photo.. and a great caption. It is easy to feel that way in Philly sometimes, you really need to LOOK up to get past all the tall buildings these days! Sometimes I don't think Philly gets the credit it is due, stuck between DC and NY!

You really have to look up to see the sky in that part of Philladelphia! You got some great shots of the place where a lot of our independance started.

I was going to stop and say hi but my hubby said there already were to many people standing around watching you :D

Greetings, James! Delightful photo. Love the way you composed it. Those buildings are imposing, and the statue gives the picture just the right touch!

Well, I am peeping in between those obstructions. They sky still looked heavenly with your summer clouds.

I was right near this statue this week James. And all those BIG tall buildings too. They give me a headache. Well, not really the buildings, but the drive to the buildings at 8 am. That gives me a headache.
