Sun and Trees in a Puddle (Weekend Reflections # 28)

The most amazing things can be found in puddles. Step off of the curb and into another world.

-Malyss commented about the reflection being in black and white. I think It only appears that way because it was a hazy day and the sun was burning through the clouds. (so the grey sky is being reflected along with the silhouettes of the branches)

Happy Easter!

Puddles are so great! I can't step over one anymore without taking a good look. I even noticed a gorgeous reflection while taking my dog for a walk past a house with the sprinklers on...beautiful wet sidewalk...but, I didn't have my camera. I'll not do that again! Your reflection is a jewel!

Very nice reflection, I like it:-)

I don't know how you did that, but the fact that the reflection is in black and white, and the frame in color, really gives the feeling of a stolen view into an other world! I like that!

Nice, the extra elements and surprises that a puddle adds to a reflection.

May you have a moving Good Friday and Holy Saturday and then a joyous Easter.

What a great reflection in an interesting spot you've captured!

I'm new to the McLinky stuff, so I'm afraid I made a mistake, would you please delete number 15, I linked to the wrong place. The correct link is on number 18. So sorry for the confusion!

Thanks for visiting James, and for the nice comment. I thought it funny that we both had done photos of puddles! However, I guess there are a lot of those around this time of year. Yours wonderful the way the sun shows through the branches. It actually looks like it could be either the sun or the moon. Have a great Easter weekend!

I don't mind reflections in black and white - indeed, I almost posted one. I enjoyed this one.

Thank you, James! For once I'm not posting a droplet reflection;)

I love this shot. The "monochromness" just underlines the texture.

This is lovely! And so funny--great minds do think alike--I just took a wonderful reflection of trees out in the fishpond, then another from a sudden puddle. We're having thunderstorms, wind, hail, sunshine and just anything you can think weatherwise just now. Makes for some fascinating photography!

Nice result and a very good idea. Anyway we have lots of puddles here, so next time I'll think about it too, lol !
Happy Easter !

I totally agree with you, I love puddle shots too.
This is another lovely nature scene in the puddle.
Sometimes, if the water in the puddle is dirty, the colors are not so sharp either.

Step off the curb but don't get wet James. Trees make some of the neatest reflections. This is a nice shot. Like the detail in the branches. Are we having fun or what!

Absolutely beautiful puddle! I always enjoy your photos, and visiting all of your friends!

Once again, Mr. Linkly and I are at odds with each other. Sorry!

Before I read your commentary, my first thought was precisely that — you find the most amazing scenery in puddles! I first need to get over my feeling that puddles are ick.

This is such a dreamy photo, and I love your "Step off the curb and into another world." Perfect.

Happy Easter, James!

What a wonderful mean to measure time and space.

It would be amazing to see the trees in a few months, wearing green. Please have a nice start into the weekend and a wonderful Easter celebration as well.

Yup ... puddle reflections are some of my favorites! Lovely capture.
Hugs and blessings,

That shot is really cool James. I took a shot just like this on our property yesterday, but it wasn't in the water.

I tend to ignore puddles if not to avoid them. My mistake.

Looking is delightful - maybe better than stepping on this cold, wet day. Very nice photo.

This is a really nice shot James. I love the way the water looks almost like mercury where it is spreading onto the concrete walk. And the reflection is incredibly clear. Great catch! Hope you have a wonderful Easter. Kathy
