Modern art and natural beauty of the sky are reflected in very shallow water at the outside area of the top floor restaurant in the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
For some reason I get serious deja vu when I look at this photo.
I wonder if I posted a similar one before? If so I couldn't find it. :)

Water always makes for that something special in reflection, and this was a very good example.
A déjà-vu feeling ? Ir doesn't ring a bell with me, sorry... Perhaps this feeling of your is linked to something you've seen, by another artist... Or you did dream of it before taking the actual picture, who knows...
Anyway, what I like about it is the complementarity of the colors between the warm color of this giant pot and the cold of the sky...
The fuzzy effect is quite amzingly taken too, here...
there are so many dimensions to this shot
it's really beautiful
and I love the copper color
Comme un navire ! L'architecte serait content de voir ta photo !
Fabulous reflection! Those giant tubes look almost like bug eyes!
Beautiful James. Great reflection.
Love this James! Very surreal.
Very cool, James! I love the wavy look in the reflection.
Love the Pompidou Center! Wowser, a Superior Snap!!
I first thought of a great boat, a steamer .. Beaubourg is so much pictured, maybe you saw it on an other blog.. Magic Lantern show, maybe?..
Fantastic capture as always, James! There are so many different aspects/dimensions. Love it, as always! And thanks as always for the weekend fun! Hope you have a great weekend!

The more I look, the more I see. Great shot, James!
Absolutely fantastic, James! Not a déjà vu for me.
Awesome reflection.
my is up ;)
Wow, very special reflections James. Have a good weekend
This one is especially neat! Nice shot.
Cool shot ... well done!
James, I got minor deja vu, maybe you've hit on the collective unconscious :) It's gorgeous and compelling, and it's Paris, so what could be better?
Beautiful photo James. But I still yuck yuck yuck at Beaubourg.
Very nice reflection, and it must be a nice restaurant to enjoy the evening!
God bless you!

Beautiful photo, another fun one from your trip.
That is very intriguing.
First glance I thought I was looking at rocket boosters! ;) Great shot as always! Have a nice weekend and enjoy the holidays!
Very clever photo, James:) Haven't seen it before!
regardless if it was posted before, it's pretty cool!
Ohhh You really captured a brilliant shot - I didn't know what the deal was until I read your entry - I knew it had to be water, but... WoW! That's so cool!
Love the watery blurred effect of that opaque glass and the colour contrasts of earthy warm and sky cool blue are magical! Great perspective!
People must look at us as if we are mad... I find myself looking at things in weird and wonderful positions wondering what it looks like:)))) This is great!
Interesting photo, I love it very much:)
Have a great weekend!
Grande riflesso !!!
It must have been something else to be right there, taking that shot. Very cool.
Very nice shot, love the gold pot!
Great combination for these reflections :)
Have a nice week end

Love the colors and especially the geometry juxtaposed against the natural elements. This is so unique!
C'est une magnifique photo et les couleurs sont belles. J'aime beaucoup.
James, this is really superb. I love it. I am going to Paris, where I used to live for quite a while, in February, and will look for a Beaubourg puddle...!
Glad I'm not the only one who isn't always sure if a photo's already been posted...I have an older one I want to post soon, but I think it's already out there somewhere...but I can't find it either.
Beautiful sculpture and great reflection.
It looks like a view through a wavy glas roof! Nicely done!
Looks like a machine, maybe for time travels...a picture for a movie. Please have a good weekend.

Absolutely fabulous, James.
Hi James, you really nailed this one... talk about vivid reflections ! So, did you have lunch up there ?
I don't think I mentioned to you the other day, but early in my French life, we lived in an apartment on rue Quincampoix, one block away from Beaubourg, which explains why for me this is creates a strong sense of déjà vu, for the smokestacks anyway... And I got married in St Merri church which is also one block away from Beaubourg. That building really was a major architectural experiment. It is not for everyone. But have been to some great exhibitions in there, there's always something going on... and street performers in the courtyard in front of it too...
Amazing beautiful reflections James.
Have a great weekend.

Your reflection capture is a piece of art in & of itself!
The picture loaded from the top so, at first, I could only see the ends of the pipes. Quite a while back, more than a year I would think, you posted pictures of a power station. I thought this one was going to be of that - and was pleased because one of those power station ones interested me specially and was one of the reasons I began to follow this blog.
Then the golden flower pot appeared and I was confused. Still am, really. Beautiful image - but perplexing at the same time.

My "almost winter" pic for Weekend Reflections is up. Stop on by if you have time.

One has to stare for awhile to see all that reflects in the artistic composition of your photo, James.
be well, be happy

That would be a difficult one to forget, but I know that de ja vu feeling only too well! It is a very imposing image.
Really superb capture, James. Le centre Pompidou is (after the new de Young Museum in San Francisco) «Louis'» favorite building to hate. It is like a Lego structure on a bad drug trip.
Wow, that's really some special reflections !
Terrific capture! Never mind if it rings a bell. It is worth being seen more than twice;o)
Thanks for sharing, James;o)

Have a beautiful weekend****
that is one awesome reflection!
I know the feeling. Makes you wish you had a good tagging and search thing going. Anyway, a really nice one with a super happy-making sky.
Paris is so far (and expensive !!!), if I know this museum, i never see this. So, not "déjà vu"
Famus capture !
good morning. the only other time i've seen a pot that big was in California. i was amazed at it's size. thanks for reminding me of that moment. hope all is well. have a great day.
I LOVE this image! I had such hard time figuring it out until I looked at it upside-down and my eyes finally agreed with my brain. It's a very trippy shot!
