Sycamore Street Last Night
When I lived in California I thought the low 50's F was cold. Then when I moved to Texas my cold threshold lowered to the low 40's. Now I consider the low 30's cold. It's 27F as I type this but yesterday's temps ranged from 17 to 22F and the wind chill brought it much lower. We even got a little bit of snow. I just wish that it would fall for longer than a few minutes. By the time I put on my coat and went outside the snow stopped falling. Picnik's snow effect fixed that problem. :)

Wow, I'm not far from you and I don't think we got this much snow. Beautiful scene!
Yes! It has been snowing. Saming over here.
I'd be frozen solid. LOL 60 is freezing to me. Wonderful photo my friend.
Nice effect...
The low angle makes the perspective on this photo amazing...
You take gorgeous night photos. At least this one is wonderful! Stay warm.
It makes me cold to look at it. We get snow sometimes in winter, but not much. Mostly rain, rain, rain. Sigh.
Picnik for the snow, but how about that gorgeous cobalt blue sky?
Brrr! I'll take a hot chocolate and a warm fire.
A very pretty scene :)

magnifique avec cette neige, digne d'un conte de noel
I guess this is a big change for you and you are certainly taking full advantage of it. I, like Pat up there, also feel the low angle adds so much to the overall composition. The lighting is great too. I could make up some pretty over the top stories about all those balls of light into infinity beyond the church!
Ta belle photo me fait envie de braver le froid et de m'y essayer. C'est très représentatif ... du froid ambiant.
I don't know how to use this "picnik", I need to play with something to learn about! Looks cool!
Anyway, your picture is fantastic, wonderful moment there! And colddddd brrrrr Stay warm!

A beautiful night shot James.
Efect or not.
Costas
What a beautiful landscape!
Your night side again..I like the perspective, it gives the feeling that the lights is flying along the street!I would be happy to have that little snow here! I saw on TV that in the middle of USA, they have PLenty, and even too much, snow.
With your special effect, it will not melt either - hah!
Great shot and perspective and you do not have to tell all your secrets. I wish I could do more than crop.
very much puts one in the spirit of Christmas. love the shot and the snow effect you added. hope all is well. have a great day.
Great winter looking scene. I have my feet warming in front of the heater as I type this, it's so cold out.
I wish it would snow again here!
Very pretty James!
Okay, I was just wondering how on earth you managed to catch the snowfall like that... (knowing from experience it's not easy)... LOL
So beautiful!
Coming from tropical country Philippines and live here in Michigan is a huge adjustment. I was used to 85f then to this kind of weather such a shock to my body ^_^
Beautiful shot and great editing!
The last time I had -8°C (17°F) was when I was in college in New Zealand. From where I was born, -8°c is extremely cold.
Winter in Sydney, Australia is quite mild about 15°C (59°F) during the day. Last year was different, it was a few degree under. I sure hope it's not going to be that cold again this coming winter :o)
Merry Christmas and Happy 2011!
This is the second year in a row that we've had a lot of snow. Before that it had been a rare thing for twenty years, though common before that.
Your photo is lovely.
Great, and... cold vew
This is beautiful, and the snow effect is perfect. If you hadn't admitted to using an effect, I would never have known!
Yes, I thought is was real snow falling. Nice job ob the photo.
Great mood and perspective in this photo.
Beautiful James, though if Picnik could also take care of the power line problem, now that would be excellent. Power lines are the bane of photographers everywhere. It is hard to avoid them in so many places any more... nice to know snow can be summoned at will if needed ! You are quite the magician !
:-)
Pure white Pieces is decorations of Christmas.
And the dance seems to be a celebration.
Thank you for giving a lovely story, JAMES.
Yes. It is a warm embrace.
Merry Christmas.
