These are wonderfully creative shots, James! As I went down the mountain today, the snow became less and less, but we still have over 2 feet. It's surprising what a little elevation does! I am so looking forward to spring. Sunny :)
Like me, I see you like to walk around sometimes with a given focal length. I sometimes am spoiled and keep on my 18-200 for the range, but I love my 50mm....
These are beautiful, insightful photos. And I sure hope some flowers pop up soon.
j'aime beaucoup le 50mm comme objectif, il donne une très belle profondeur de champs et c'est l'objectif des photos de rues des photographes comme Depardon
Frankly, I am tired of snow too but the good news is that it has started melting here at Blacksburg. I just hope it never comes back again for the rest of Spring :|
You're killing me! I've had a 50mm on my wish list for some time, but I was really planning to get a longer telephoto zoom or prime for my son's sports. These shots make me want to get the 50mm first because I'm really liking these!!
You tempt me into doing something like that. It is the old way, and you have to view the subjects in a different way. I have a 70mm macro, that I sometimes use like that, but it is a bit powerful for some subjects
James, You are a great Pro with your outstanding eye for the beauty you see through the lens of a camera. All of these shots are amazing. Definitely topnotch, my friend!

talk about powerful images! I love the blurriness in each of these.
Don't you just love the 50mm! These are great images captured on an observant walk...especially with snow!
You have an eye for things. I especially like the fork in the road.

Sunny :)
Brrr it looks cold. Great photos I bet you can't wait for the flowers. :)
I can imagine how awesome it would be for you to see the snow gone and the surrounding filled with the most beautiful colors of nature....
Pixellicious Photos
Love these pics, specially the twig/branch looks like antlers in the snow!
Wonderful walk, with great shots and captions. The snow didn't wash away the graffiti. It adds to the photo.

Very very nice. The first one definitely is my fav - a very strong image.
Really nice series James. I love the "fork". At least all your snow gave you some great photo opportunities! Kathy
I love your second picture, a perfect symbol for winter..
Don't worry, spring is just behind the fence...
Amazing shots and a beautiful story James :)

You have to get out and walk more often. I really like these.

Excellent effects and perspectives. I especially love the slide of color on the wall of the last one.

All delightful. Can't beat that 50mm!
Oh I do like that fence shot!
This is a beautiful set of pictures James! Hopefully it won't be too much longer until we are taking some spring blog pictures.

Yeah, by now we're all tired of the snow but your pics make it still look nice! :)
God bless you!

I appreciate your fine B&W creativity, but the potted snow steals the show with image and words!
I enjoy seeing images of your wintry world as you share your perspectives creatively. Thanks so much.
Hugs and blessings,
Very creative shots. I so want to get out ALONE with my camera and create!
Neat series of photos! The subjects are quite the collection.

An outstanding entry of yours. May life and its content end up in a spiral of comfort.
Please have a nice Wednesday.
I love the 50 mm walk! Bold, simple forms and a
story.
Warmth of the spring will dissolve snow by an instant.
It looks like you're having fun with thazt lens?
What can I say but wonderful!! I am always intrigued by your photos!
