My 50mm Walk

I saw a fence and some blurred snow

A fork in the road

A swirling snowstorm

Then I looked below and saw potted snow
I also saw the snow melting. How long can it be until flowers replace the snow?

talk about powerful images! I love the blurriness in each of these.

Don't you just love the 50mm! These are great images captured on an observant walk...especially with snow!

You have an eye for things. I especially like the fork in the road.

These are wonderfully creative shots, James!
As I went down the mountain today, the snow became less and less, but we still have over 2 feet. It's surprising what a little elevation does!
I am so looking forward to spring.

I can imagine how awesome it would be for you to see the snow gone and the surrounding filled with the most beautiful colors of nature....

Love these pics, specially the twig/branch looks like antlers in the snow!

Wonderful walk, with great shots and captions. The snow didn't wash away the graffiti. It adds to the photo.

Like me, I see you like to walk around sometimes with a given focal length. I sometimes am spoiled and keep on my 18-200 for the range, but I love my 50mm....

These are beautiful, insightful photos. And I sure hope some flowers pop up soon.

j'aime beaucoup le 50mm comme objectif, il donne une très belle profondeur de champs et c'est l'objectif des photos de rues des photographes comme Depardon

Really nice series James. I love the "fork". At least all your snow gave you some great photo opportunities! Kathy

Don't worry, spring is just behind the fence...

Amazing shots and a beautiful story James :)

Frankly, I am tired of snow too but the good news is that it has started melting here at Blacksburg. I just hope it never comes back again for the rest of Spring :|

You're killing me! I've had a 50mm on my wish list for some time, but I was really planning to get a longer telephoto zoom or prime for my son's sports. These shots make me want to get the 50mm first because I'm really liking these!!

Excellent effects and perspectives. I especially love the slide of color on the wall of the last one.

This is a beautiful set of pictures James! Hopefully it won't be too much longer until we are taking some spring blog pictures.

You tempt me into doing something like that. It is the old way, and you have to view the subjects in a different way. I have a 70mm macro, that I sometimes use like that, but it is a bit powerful for some subjects

Yeah, by now we're all tired of the snow but your pics make it still look nice! :)
God bless you!

I appreciate your fine B&W creativity, but the potted snow steals the show with image and words!
