Philadelphia Through a Fountain

I took this shot in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Saturday. I wasn't standing in the fountain but I was tempted. :)

I bet the guy with the camera on the other side of the water took my picture too.
This is two crops of the same photo.

I like how two crops can show such different views. In this case, each really has a different story and I like them both. Yes, you definitely would be in his photo, James. :-)

That's a nice photo of one of the classic American big city views.

Oh, I know that view well, right down the parkway to Billy Penn atop city hall. Very imaginative to shoot through the fountain! I bet you're right about being in the other guy's shot! Lots of movement, action, and interaction make these classics!

Hi James,
molto bella questa foto della città di Phi.
Carina l'immagine di :
"chi fotografa chi ! "
Approposito, chi rappresenta la statua a cavallo ?
Buona giornata.

Both are wonderful versions of the same photo. I've only ever just flown in to Philly, on my way to elsewhere. I really need to visit.

Bonjour dear James!
"I love Renoir"!!!
This picture is beautiful, I have the sensation that "I'm inside the fountain"! So perfect symmetry!:)
What a perfect day, a sunny weekend to take pictures from this amazing city.
Lucky you!

I'd love to run thru that fountain several times, the heat index here in Southeast Missouri is 113 right now! Yesterday, the news said we were the hottest place in the US at 107 temp & 118 heat index! Scorching!

I keep meaning to join Weekend Reflections, but I've been scatter brained lately. I'll be sure to join this weekend

Cool effect, with this heat I would be in the fountain for sure...well, I'd like to be.

These are really great photos. I love the composition and how your eye rolls right down that hill and into the city ahead. Really KOOL, James!

Love it. Bet that guy being photograph is not in the fountain either, but he looks like he is. That building in the middle is grand. Great shot James.

I hope you all enjoyed the museum. My day did not work out for me to make it down town like I had planned... maybe this week, or Friday before I go to work?

What stunning photos. The second one is wonderful, and I like how you lead our eye to city hall with the cropping.

Philadelphia, "Phily", seems to be such a beautyful town!!
I saw it several times through the TV series Cold Case!
And your picture is sooooo deliciously refreshing!

I really like the shot of the water and then the view of the city. Also, the look-up photo of the museum itself. A great idea to capture people on the other side of the water!

It is a wonderful big town.
I feel neighboring expanses.

James, both photos are really captured well! Right now, I would like even just a splash of the water, its over 90 here!

P.S. Twylah is doing great, the fur in her chin is growing back. she and Pixie are getting along well. They are now friends. Pixie likes to snuggle with me at night.
