Beauty vs Decay

The interesting color of the trim and the red bricks got my attention first then the beautiful wild daisies took over. This is an early 1950's era school that has been closed. It's right behind my house and is in the process of being reclaimed by nature.

So beautiful. It's a shame there isn't any activity for children. Big house just empty.

Great angle shot. The three-color (brown, yellow and blue) combination is in harmony!

Such a shame to see some of these buildings sit empty. Nice colors in the photo, the red, blue and yellow. Hmmm..primary colors!

As a past teacher it is sad to see the school sitting empty. It has so much more character than today's buildings.
The color would have drawn me right in for sure. At first I wasn't sure about the yellow in contrast but the more I look at it the more I really like it.
Hmmm....I wonder if those old doors led to a fallout shelter?
Nice shots!

A pity, the school wasn't bad at all, but nature is reclaiming it so gently and in such a colorful manner...

I love the yellow against the brick but wish the building was being used for good

One would think the powers that be could find some use for this building...

But it will crumble into dust ere long...fortunately, for now, nature which is slowly but surely turning it to dust, is a beautiful yellow!

Nice series. Good photos!

Wow. There is a vacant school in Hatfield. I love driving by and imagining its future.
