Polish Rainbows in Newtown?

So while I was walking one evening last week I saw a rainbow over a house upon further inspection I saw a very puzzling sign and flag. Is there really a Polish embassy in little Newtown? Either way it's a nice rainbow and a very interesting house. Also a mystery to be solved.

Oh, what a wonderful rainbow! And why some red shutters and some black? Lovely shade of red on those shutters.

I thought Embassies were in capital and Consulates in any other place of interest, but this is too nice to be contradicted. Maybe they got extraterritoriality too...
Very good catch!

Nice rainbow. I hope you let us in on the mystery when you solve it.

It must truly be the (or an) embassy or the resident loves the Polish colors--the house colors match except for a little black--or both! Either way, the house is charming, and the rainbow is beautiful!

Matches the Polish national flag - white and red stripes! Fantastic rainbow - the only one I ever photografed was on a stormy dark gray sky as a background! Lovely!

Hmmm ... is it old enough to date to the time when philadelphia was the capital of the US?

That is a rather cute polish embassy. I thought most embassies are located in Capital cities, don't they?

Perhaps they're Polish or Polish ancestory? There's a German flag flying outside a house down my street in England, not because it's an embassy but because the woman who lives there is German. Did you find the end of the rainbow?!

Unknown said...

Aha I suspect it's the residence of a proud expat like myself! Great piccie and subject.

Hello James, just thought I let you know that I've posted a post on how to enlarge pictures. A few bloggers questioned me on how to do it. Instead of emailing them, I posted it just so anyone who needs it can try it out. Check it out and have fun!

I keep looking for rainbows but rarely see them. Lucky you. How much gold did you find at the end of each one?
